‘DPC Poetry’ on DNO

ModelDominica News Online (DNO), will begin  publishing a new feature called ‘DPC Poetry’ on Friday March 22.

The new post is being undertaken in collaboration with the group, Domnichen Poetic Circle (DPC), which describes itself as “a Literary Circle of Contemporary Poets, and Spoken Word Artists who hail from, and are descended from the Nature Isle of the Caribbean – Dominica.”

The group endeavors to showcase the broad spectrum of Dominican talent in the area of the written and spoken word and also promotes itself as a platform for interactive conversations on posted content (projects, works or visual/audio showcase pieces) of the Artists, “in the form of constructive critique and reactions, helpful Poetry web-links and events, as well as, creative responses, which we label, ‘Poems In The Moment (PITM)’…………..Poems created out of that moment of being inspired by a DPC Member’s wall post.” DPC states.

DPC adds that it is the group’s intention to expose the talents of its members and to have honest discussions on ways to improve the skills of the participants. “Most of all, this group endeavors to entertain, educate and stimulate Poet-Members, and Poetry enthusiasts alike.” it says.

DPC welcomes contributions from the published, skilled, amateur, and beginner Poet. “We welcome anyone of Dominican descent who would like to share their Poems and Spoken Word audio/video, and encourage membership from across the globe, from those who simply wish to enjoy reading, listening, and constructively commenting on the Poems posted by Dominican Artists.” according to the group.

Every Friday, beginning this week, each publication of ‘DPC Poetry’ on DNO, will feature the work of a DPC member.
