POETRY: The rape of Me

Deprived, Depraved

Of the ability to choose

Brutally, Ravishingly, Unforgivingly

My clothes are torn

It’s not my fault that I am a woman

Not my fault that my breast and backside

Appeal to your lascivious, greedy, selfish eyes

No. Not my fault

But it is my fault when you force yourself into me

My fault when you stifle my pleas for mercy

My fault when your present a STD

Naked, Exposed, Broken

You leave me

Bleeding in body from your harsh, undeserved punishment

In mind from the now deplorable state of my body

In heart from the devastation of my mind

My peace, my dreams, my hope

How can I live through

The abuse, the degradation, the rape

Of me

That is very very good, it shuld be used to help the rape victims of dominica, there is no support for rape victims, i myself had the unfortunate experiance of an attack, unfortunatly i was asleep in bed and he blind folded me during the process,i never went to the police, dominica to small for that, and i had no idea who he was, as he only spoke to me a few words which where, keep your eyes closed.
If i knew i would have been taken seriously and if my business would have been kept private i would have gone to make a report.
This poem is very very ture in every aspect, and if and i mean if it can be used to help victims then thank god. it is about time.

I left dominica 6 months later for another island.
