Five moms to vie for the title of Carnival Mother’s Queen

Carnival Mother’s Queen Contestants for 2023

The Dominica Carnival Mother’s Queen show is set to return in style with five women competing for the title after a two-year break brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first competitor, Cadesher Charles, will represent the Portsmouth community.

The second contestant, Mesha Carbon, will represent Boetica/Laplaine while Nacheal Walsh will represent the Mahaut community as the third contestant.

Emmanuela Jervier of Pointe Michel will be the fourth contestant and contestant number five, Nisha Prosper, will represent the Morne Jaune and Castle Bruce communities.

The event, which gives mothers between the ages of 21 and 50 a platform to showcase their artistic and cultural talents, is set for Saturday, February 11, 2023, in the forecourt of Windsor Park Stadium.

The last Carnival Mother’s Queen crown was captured by Delma Daniel in 2020.

I know for a fact that one of those women blatantly said that she wanted to be a P””n S””r . And few years ago released a few videos .

Notice I didn’t say that someone leaked her videos. I said SHE released the videos . Is that the kind of role models that we want for our young women.

Also we need to make it a must that only married mothers are accepted in this. As we need to start fixing our society

As far as most Dominican women are concerned, the are in possession of only one commodity that does require a hard days work. The fact that they are easily persuaded to sell what they have have available, speak volumes of the low standards of todays Dominican society. Low standards that were promoted by the CM, the DLP and the cabal. It’s disgusting. If only they would pay with their own money but even that is to much to ask of these corrupt individuals.

I believe it’s time to make being married a priority for qualification in this pagent. We keep seeing a rise in “Vulentery singlemotherhood” in Dominica.

You can always start your own pageant. There is no law that prevents married mothers from participating . Are they interested?
