The Dominica Geothermal Development Company (DGDC) has successfully concluded the testing of its
geothermal production well in Laudat.
The DGDC wishes to clarify that the visible steam (not smoke) plume and the noise levels experienced.only occur during the test and that the operating power plant will be quiet and with little steam emission.
The DGDC also wishes to thank the villages of Laudat and Trafalgar in particular, for working very
cooperatively with the DGDC during the testing, and for the various visitors who came to observe the
testing, including this class from the Dominica State College.
This is so disgusting, after over a hundred million dollars spent not even a light bulb is lighted and every five years this lazy government show us some steam. Shameful!
SOoooo, what does the end of testing mean? I wish you all would’ve expounded on the story. Does it mean they are going to start constructing the plant… or is all this just election season hype?
Mr. George, you fully well know the answer to your rhetorical question. Geothermal energy is used just like the international airport. Only around the Election Season they become household names. Do your research. The incumbent regime is shameless in their attempt to win votes.
”Completion of testing”
weh weh weh
how many millions already diverted ( I mean claims to have been ) up to this stage ,
how many more millions to get to production stage , or should I ask ” does this present Government requests time in office now again, to get to the next testing stage within another 4 years ?
MAYSHANCETAY !!!!!
This is an exercise in futility under the Skerrit led Administration. Sad to say, this is just another of the misleader’s misdeed. Again, the talk of obtaining an international airport has been resurrected for the umpteenth time. Invariably, we know general election is a stone throw away. Ignore this tomfoolery.
Where did I read this before… oh yes… before Kempinski started … no .. no .. before the MMCE housing projects …. no no … before the PMH reconstruction …. no … no .. before the West coast brige reconsructions …. no .. no… before the Amechi Hotel … no.. no…. sorry… I’m confused
