Dominican entertainer, Shane “Sukie” Edwards, has been denied bail when he appeared in a court in Grenada on Monday morning.
He was arrested in that neighboring island on Saturday and charged with one count of indecent assault.
According to MTV News in Grenada, he was accused of touching a Guyanese teenager living in Canada who was a guest at a resort on the south of the island.
On Saturday afternoon videos began circulating on social media purportedly showing him being led away by police.
He is represented in Grenada by attorney Peter David and when he appeared in court on Monday, bail was denied by Magistrate Teddy St. Louis.
He was remanded at the Richmond Hill Prison.
Sukie is expected back in court on December 1.
He was in Grenada to perform at a concert at the Grenada National Stadium.
According to Grenadian law, indecent assault is “an assault committed in circumstances of indecency.”
It carries a maximum term of five years in prison.
His family should seek help for this guy before he does something really bad to himself or others.
That man is not well.
If this guy had any shame he would not be smiling.
This guy does not represent me and my values and certainly does not represent Dominica. Or maybe he does. The vulgarity btw him and the prime minister of Dominica no different. Same personality. Both making a fool of themselves on stage. One in political comedy the other in musical comedy. Only difference is it is easier for sukie to get arrested. The office of the people of Dominica protecting the other nuisance. Dominica has no values nor standards and we accept any nonsense. Dice was not allowed to rep DA because he sang against the gov. The excuse was his personality. Yet this is what we celebrate. Keep him in the jail for full extent. Dominica let him go and had him infront school children. Sick country from the head.
Without knowing the full details of his latest shenanigans, I must ask the following: does Sukie’s elevator go all the way to the top floor? His recent public outlandish and questionable behavior is reflective of a man who done lost his mind.
Somebody needs to sit this MUG down and tell him to stop his slack behaviour otherwise he will be relegated to doing free shows behind bars.
He must bake them some nice mastiff bread 🥖 and rough cake while in there. CARICOM should take responsibility for all that and bail de man. What is their function nuh, really? Must be some acult or something spooky. The whole Caribbean is a total mess, because all of these so-called political “leaders” are in bed with Lucifer for 30 pieces R Silver.
This guy surely has mental issues . No sane individual would behave so jovially while being escorted by police to court to face such serious charges.
Instead of on a stage, this guy should be on lockdown having serious medical treatment. The man is ill. He has admitted of hearing ‘voices’.
Sukie is a teenager-pedophile. He should have been playing some cricket at The National Stadium in Grenada. Instead he went to join Bernard Coard and his henchmen at the Richmond Prisons, messing around a Guyanese-Indian.
What world are you living in. Bernard Coard would be helping educate this guy for once. But Coard hasn’t been in prison since 2009.
Even when you are arrested you still look like an entertainer grinning your teeth. Maybe he wanted some Guyanese pepper pot and a Guyanese Indian for lunch. Shanti ohhhhhhh.
That’s ok DNO. But I can’t wait to read Breaking News: no bail for the corrup man that trying his best to hide in office maybe of president so he will escape the wrath of the US that will soon be upon him. His friend ANDREW FAHIE, the former BVI Premier is in US custody and has decided to vomit all those that helped him be where he is today and I can tell you the corrupt one that trying to hide behind the presidency is at the top of the list. He talking about 2.5 yrs but he won’t even be a free man for rest of 2023. Every damn rope has and end and boss yours is upon you and we will hear the words “No Bail”.
The rule of law works differently in all our sister islands..He obviously thought that he was in Dominica.
