Dominican entertainer, Sukie, has been arrested in Grenada, according to media reports from that island.
On Saturday afternoon, the Grenada Broadcasting Network (GBN) reported that Sukie, whose real name is Shane Edwards and who also goes by the name Sukie Burn Brain, was taken into custody on two counts of indecent assault.
He is expected to appear in the court on Monday.
On Saturday afternoon videos began circulating on social media purportedly showing him being led away by police.
Reports indicate that he and another Dominican performer, Mr Ridge, were expected to perform on Saturday night at an event dubbed “Fire & Ice” – The ultimate Concert at the Grenada National Cricket Stadium.
Shenseea, a Jamaican dancehall artist, is also expected to perform at the show.
In September 2022, the entertainer was arrested in Dominica and charged with battery on a female as well as threats.
Edwards who was remanded into custody for the alleged offense, was able to secure bail a month later.
Since his release in October, the artist has performed at several shows around the region.
The trial for the offense of threat and battery is expected to commence in the Roseau Magistrate court on December 6, 2022.
A waste of time & talent. He needs to humble himself. He is his own worst enemy. An embarrassment. But that’s what we produce & admire these days.
The saddest part of this Sukie Burn Brain sexual predator fiasco and his perverted music, is to see our Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit quote this pervert in the Dominica Parliament, with his “Power Breakfast”, and to hear other Ministers of Government like Kenneth Darroux announce what a great fan he is of Sukie Burn Brain, “What A Wow”!
This shows you how low the Dominica Labour party has brought down the class, morality and normalcy of the Dominica society! I am surprised that they have not yet made him an ambassador! Sad, sad, sad!
DNO…the story is very confusing. Are the two incidents related or separate. I have to imagine they are separate incidents, but the way the story is written, it appears there could be a link between the two.

Hello and good evening my people. What’s so confusing to understand that he committed two crimes. He was arrested in Dominica for Assault And threatening a female for which he was out on bail. He then committed another separate crime in Grenada for which he was remanded to jail and subsequently denied bail. This guy have some sort of problem where he need major intervention. Why would a grown man sexually abuse a child. I hope he have to register as Sexual Abuser.
That guy is a bag of coal dust and a menace to woman he should be in jail and getting anger management lessons before being let out on the streets again.

So is Sukie a sacrificial lamb? Just asking. All people who called themselves “patriots” and love your country. Then, please, let’s pray for this blessed land of ours. Because the same evil and demonic spirits which has been hovering over the land of Haiti has spread out all over Dominica. The leaders of government (labor) have given their soles over to the devil and demons, witchcraft, and all sorts of diabolical practices. Many businessmen and businesses women have mounted on the White Horse to do harm and mischief to all who will not bow down to smell their stinking BUTTTT. So let’s pray and ask God to intervene in this matter on our behalf. Dominica is in a very, very dark place. Change is inevitable but it won’t come without a cost. So let’s prepare ourselves for what may follow in Dominica during trying times. Folk want to be left alone to do what they please. They must rethink their actions and reflect on what happened to people who sought absolute power. Not a nice ending.
This guy appears to be a serial indecent assault violator of young women. If found guilty, he should be caged for a lengthy period, preferably in a rehabilitation institution, to muse over his oafish behaviour. He should receive the appropriate treatment until he is deemed well by a practicing psychiatrist.
I told you all a while back, nowadays they taking their nastiness all over the Caribbean. Dominica too small for them now. That’s what 20 years of premiership with NO standards and NO law has done!
