Five young ladies to vie for the title of 2023 Carnival Princess

The competition for the 2023 Carnival Princess show is set to make its return on Sunday, February 5 with five young ladies from primary schools from the northeast and west of the island competing for the crown.

The contestants include Eliz Charles of the Wills Strathmore Stevens Primary School (WSSPS) who is sponsored by Marigot Cooperative Credit Union and Just Nice Services.

Mikayla Christmas, who represents the St. Martin Primary School (SMPS) and is sponsored by Springfield Trading Limited, is the second contestant, and she is followed by Najah Georges, who is sponsored by Fine Foods Inc. and represents the Thibaud Primary School (TPS).

Dernisha Darroux of the Goodwill Primary School, sponsored by Do It Center, and Zaheer Toussaint of Roseau Primary School, is sponsored by DOMLEC, are the final two competitors from the Roseau constituency, who are competing for the prestigious title.

In 2020, then eleven-year-old, reigning carnival princess, Nyanna Stevens, brought home the crown to the Will Strathmore Stevens Primary School, marking the school’s second consecutive win.

The show is set to take place at the Windsor Park Stadium forecourt on February 5.

    They are running out of ideas…well they never had any good ideas in the first place. Look now they are sacrificing theIr little girls to various sexual immoralities in a country that’s overflowing with perverts. Making them woman before their time. My daughter ain’t in that.
