A personal best and new national record was set for national swimmer Jasmine Schofield at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games.
Schofield swam a personal best at 29.91 seconds in the women’s 50-meter freestyle to finish in 3rd place in her meet this morning.
Her previous personal best was 30.26 seconds.
Jasmine is the first female Swimmer to represent Dominica since 2000, when her mother Francilia Agar swam at the 2000 Sydney Games.
Despite the new record, and good showing in her heat, her time was not fast enough to get her through to the next round of the competition.
