The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) has intensified its search for 12-year-old Kernisha Etienne based on a potential lead, which, according to the Deputy Chief of Police, Lincoln Corbette, her abductor provided to the authorities before he died.
According to Corbette, at about 3:15 pm today June 18, 2022, while conducting a search in the Brookhill Estate area, a police patrol team encountered Alexander armed with a cutlass which was about 3 feet long.
“The police attempted to apprehend him. He charged the police with the cutlass. The police took action to subdue him by shooting at his legs. The police took immediate action to render first aid. During that time, he said certain things to the police as to the possible whereabouts of Kernisha Etienne,” Corbette revealed. “As a result, the search has been intensified in the area to find Kernisha Etienne.”
He said the ambulance and the district medical officer were summoned and Alexander was pronounced dead shortly after.
Corbette used the opportunity to call on all able-bodied people to assist the police with the search for Etienne who was abducted from her home in Warner on June 7, 2022.
Alexander, a resident of Belles, who is reportedly mentally ill, took Etienne from her home at about 11:30 p.m. on the said night. The police reported that in committing the offence, Alexander went to the home of his uncle, Laurent Joseph Bruno, and attacked him with a cutlass inflicting serious wounds to his head and face, before leaving with the 12-year-old.
“I wish to commend all the officers and members of the public who have been relentless in searching for Kernisha. We also wish to commend the public for their trust and confidence in the police. Our main focus has been on and remains on the safe return of Kernisha Etienne to her family,” Corbette ended by stating.
Etienne’s adopted parents Misca Bruno and Laurent Joseph Bruno, have remained optimistic throughout this ordeal that the 12-year-old is still alive.
They spoke to journalist, Matthias Peltier, during the Hot Seat program on Q-95 Radio earlier this week.
“What I am getting in my thoughts is that Kernisha is ok,” Mrs. Bruno stated. “She is ok and she is going to come back.”
God is the only on who the truth about this little girl. WHY IS THE ADOPTED mother to stand up for this child. There is more to the story the public don’t know.

That’s a big lapse on alot of people part. The other day there was a riot, I saw the police using rubber bullet, couldnt that have been deployed? One in his stomach would have make him backflip, but when you guys rolling with those “Call of Duty” guns. Secondly, the Chief said he gave the intel that the child was alive somewhere, so if he told one lie, is it possible he told a second about the state of the child?
I have often repeated that Dominica is unique. It is not a normal country. In fact, it is a pariah nation.
In any other civilised, well-governed country, there would have been a Press Conference by the National Security Minister, the top brass of the ‘Police Force’ and probably the leader of the country the very day the abductor was killed.
This is three days since the shooting of the fugitive and no press conference? They should be facing the press prepared to answer pertinent questions concerning this incident.

I firmly believe the objective given to the police was to kill Kenyan Alexander. I further believe that Alexander had dirt on the authorities and therefore they didn’t want him to speak out.

For those less familiar with various weapons used by our police and the devastation they can cause, an M16 assault Rifle (which was most likely was used) or a military style shot gun which we have in our armory can literally cut off some legs. It all depends on how the weapon was used. So the question should not be how comes he died after being shot in the “leg(s)” but rather why was he shot that way in the first place if the child was not with him. A sniper should have been assigned with every police search party but I am 1000% sure that was not the case. Now, the child may no longer be alive regardless of what that psyco says but boy oh boy do I have questions. While Kiyan’ soul burn in HELL for eternity lets pray and keep searching vigorously for the child.

Daniel Cabon and Corbet are two of the worse top brass of the police we have ever had! They are not known for their professionalism or truthfulness but rather for their abilities to cover Skerrit’s crimes. So who said anybody going to trust their report . What became of the Choksi matter was the last nail in their coffin for me. So needless to say I don’t believe anything they say including pM Skerrit, one I once admired. I think there is more to this story than what they have told us and killing of Keyan Alexander is nothing more than a well calculated story. In fact I wonder if Keyan even told them anything about the whereabouts of the young child. If Kernisha is still alive, which I fervently hope, it is of utmost importance that she is found as quickly as humanly possible. She will now be alone in the dark, damp bushes having to fend for herself with no outdoor survival skills.

He was in the Latoy area for some days and he admitted before he died that she was in a house in WARNER which means she was left alone. Was he going up every day to bring her food and water? When this news first broke. They posted a video with Kian attacking the policemen. There were about six of them he was swinging the cutlass up and down he swang it like they were skipping. A real big cutlass. Whoever posted this picture had a true picture of the incident. He almost cut one head off. One of the Police was down that is when he was shot. They were advised to take the Video down. Let me know how many others saw that Video on Dominica breaking news. It was the real thing it lasted like 5mins and it was taken down. This would answer why he was shot. Please post that video back so the world can see the police had no choice his head would be gone…..I saw it with my own eyes. It seem like he wanted to die……He could throw at their head so skilled with the cutlass

I pray to the Father, Almighty God, that Kernisha, will be found. It is sad that Etienne had to die before the good news come to pass. But I also believe that his death was the way that God set him free from his dangerous state of mental illness. His Will is always done for the best of all people.
