Free Turkey, Turkey is very expensive in the UK….Free Ham, that too is expensive, £45 for the smallest smoke ham….Wake up wake up Dominicans…..ask for the chickens and the pigs, do your own farming, eat what you grow…know what you’re eating….
Very educational..we need more of this discussion more often to educate the public to help manage these disease
That Hospital has ZERO clue what they’re doing , much less for stroke victims.
How do you have a Hospital with a Cat Scan machine and no way of reading the results? … Scans have to be sent to Anguilla to be read which takes days.. WHATTTTTT?
With such a high stroke rate / folks dying due to complications related to strokes, you would assume there’d be a stroke center, or at least a neurologist / surgeons capable of saving stroke victims…. ON ISLAND!!!! That hospital is easily the most incompetent facility in the world. No medication for stroke victims, no surgery/ surgeons available for stroke victims… as pretty as it looks is merely a place people go to die! or a transit hub to get sent to a neighboring island for USD $17,000.00 + .
You only preach on preventing NCD’s rather than helping those who have already been afflicted …The 2 are not mutually exclusive . Lets educate the population / change un-healthy habits while having the necessary recovery facilities…
I wonder how much de salted Ham and Turkey of Skerrit has contributed to the increase in stroke and high blood pressure, diabetes and even cancer in Dominica. Toe since free ham and turkey were brought to Dominica from China, who is very good in what they do, I noticed a high number of our young people both men and women suffer from stroke, diabetes and amputated limbs or body parts. We need to do our homework you know
