Six police officers from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) will head to Saint Lucia to help the country in its fight against gang violence.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves announced this Wednesday on his Face-To-Face programme.
He said the Government of Saint Lucia has requested from the Regional Security System (RSS) of which St Vincent and the Grenadines is a part, to lend some security assistance.

Crime was allowed to fester for far too long without the attention and priority given to this scourge that was urgently needed. The present state of affairs in S. Lucia should be a teachable moment for its neighbours.
These governments need to set up a priority list: stamping out of corruption; strong adherence to rule of law; an all out assault on poverty; produce most of what we consume; eliminate political divisiveness and promote unity; cut out favouritism and promote meritocracy; create a fair electoral system; a professional police force comprised of the best and brightest of society.
With these, we should have fewer crimes, less poverty and more progress.
The government of Dominica should ask for and recruit a 20 member ex police/ soldier force This force should include,Commander Phillsbert Al P Aimless Alfred,Evans John,Nicholas Andropov George,Gabriel Butcher St.Jean,Felix Augustine Sr,Kelvin Jack… JonesAlbert,James Green,Liston Gas Dyer,Edincort Tampy St.Valle,Patrickson Pato Albert,Anthony Seagal Williams.Jefferson Shepaw Shipley,Cyprien Defoe,Dan Muscle Robin,Eirie Mility,Devanport Williams and the CLOWN will put on battle fatigues AGAIN.The present police officers are a waste of time.
