Dominica News Online (DNO) has been reliably informed that a shooting incident which occured earlier today near the post office in Massacre, involved a police officer and a civilian.
Information from credible police sources indicates that the civilian and another individual were involved in an altercation when a police officer intervened and a shooting ensued.
At present, it is unclear what led to the shooting which resulted in the victim receiving a gunshot wound to his thigh but in a now widely circulated video, the civilian is seen on the ground while the police officer holding the weapon is standing above him.
DNO was told that the wounded man left the scene but he was later apprehended by other officers who transported him to the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) for medical attention.
Police say once he is discharged, he will be taken into custody to assist with their investigation.
Long I suspected that the person that always commented by the name of Lin clown was very dumb, very corrupt , has some Rotten Teeth and had some kind of police background. But after I read his response to “Trouble I see” he confirmed that he had police and military training so I now conclude that this self imposed Clown is the same former police officer who claimed to have swept over$40, 000 of Haitian money by mistake. So now I understand why that clown and rotten teeth is always defending Skerrit and always has some nasty things to say about Lennox. That same Lin clown I recon is that same dog bite and kid on the block because is the same dumb language and corrupt in nature. But Mr must know that after a meal he needs to brush his rotten teeth.

So I felt if the civilian is on the ground and the officer on top of him it meant that the officer was in total control and therefore there was no need to shoot him. If it’s something different I apologize for what I said.
That’s why I mentioned taking the knee against racism because in Dominica we are all black and yet I have seen police brutality during a peaceful demonstrations that had nothing to do with racism

FACTS,I agree with you 100%,in all my police and military training training,I have NEVER seen a target with hands and legs always heads and chest.To be a top rated marksman you bullets must hit the target very close to each other,that is called GROUPING.The police has never been taught to shoot at the legs.
You are right. Your are taught to go for “center mass”, must police men are not sharp shooters with the ability to shoot someone in the leg or arm. Your are taught to go for the widest area.
I do not know what this guy TROUBLE is talking about.What I know for a fact,in the 70’s and 80’s the people wearing the dreadlocks were not called RASTAS they were called DREADS.In those days the dreads did not live like the rastas live today.The dreads lived in the hills and of the land,they believed everything should be free so the would release every animal they come in contact with,they caSolled the hills ZION and the towns and villages BABYLON.There was never a time when the police harassed RASTAS before the dread act was passed by the DLP with the support of the public.Before that weed was not widely smoked,only musicians were known to smoke regularly.The wide spread harassment of the dreads only started after the act was passed.Today there are NO dreads in Dominica,there are RASTAS with dreadlocks,and they all live in BABYLON side by side with the police.So Trouble I see is a spreader of LYING NEWS.

Thank you DNO for this little enlightenment. That’s why I don’t believe in that taking the knee thing in support of anti racism. Police everywhere who are armed with a gun just feel they should shoot people and have a license to shoot. I saw a lot of that during the Rastafarian movement where good young people were either shot to death or crippled for life just for smoking a weed or they had dreadlocks. Today both weed and dreadlocks are legal but those that were killed or paralyzed by police never got compensated.
Did the shooting today had anything to do with racism? No it’s simply a black police officer shooting another black brother he already had on the ground. It’s the officer the police should have arrested immediately instead of saying the victim will be arrested when he is discharged.

@ Trouble I see, there were also many slaves that didn’t believe in that FREEDOM thing and preferred to remain as slaves even if they were freed. I think you should educate yourself about the purpose of taking the knee before coming on DNO and embarrass yourself. I can only assume that as a black person you have never experienced racism so you wont understand how it affects other black people living in white dominated cultures, in their every day lives. It is not just about a white Police officer choking a black man to death in broad daylight on the street in America by kneeling on his neck for nine minutes. It is a symbol of oppression all over the world. So by not supporting this gesture you are in full support of racism and other forms of oppression as long as you are not the victim..
