Stories by Children provides merit awards to young authors

Stories by Children has once again made good on its promise to support the educational endeavors of young authors. The organization has awarded three talented writers with a merit award, which will provide some financial assistance towards their education. The recipients were chosen based on their academic performance, as evidenced by their report cards for the 2023-2024 academic year.

The first awardees of the Merit Award are Sajjad and Tawana Samuel, and Truh Francis. Saijad is a member of the Fernance and Cyrilla family, while Truh and Tawana are authors outside of the family circle.

According to Mrs. Nicole Toussaint Jno Baptiste, Public Relations Officer of the Stories by Children Committee, the recipients were overjoyed to receive the award and expressed their gratitude. They also stated that this recognition has motivated them to continue writing for future publications of Stories by Children. Mrs. Jno-Baptiste is urging the public to support these young authors by purchasing the existing volumes, including Stories by Children Volume One – Family and Volume Two – When I Grow Up. These books can be purchased at Jays Bookstore or online at storiesbychildren.org.
