Two well-known residents of Portsmouth who have made significant contributions to sports will have two sporting facilities named after them.
They are former teacher at the Portsmouth Secondary School, Cynthia Joseph, and sports personality Ira Frazer, also known as ‘Bloaters’.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit during one of his party’s recent political rallies.
“As I have said we have done a lot for Portsmouth, you know we have to do the indoor basketball court and that indoor basketball court will be named after a man who has contributed towards basketball…,” he revealed. “That facility will be named after ‘Bloaters’.”
Prime Minister Skerrit continued, “We will also build a netball court and that will be named after a lady who has contributed so much to Portsmouth, Cynthia Joseph who taught us at the Portsmouth Secondary School.”
He further revealed that the contracts have been signed for these facilities.
And….I am lead to assume that this will make Possie the most prosperous and beautiful dump-town in the hemisphere. Man, the people of Possie needs jobs, and the injection of capital dollars by way of yatching facilities, proper utilization of the vacant RUSS compound, the development of agricultural lands etc. You know what? Just people like Mystellics what Possie needs and I am certain you will be honest answers including the most important one; U MUST GO!
Dr Dr you are in dreamland at this juncture of your political career which by the way is not going to end the way you envisaged, I would not be surprised if in your delusional mind you wake up one of those days, and decide to change the name of our beautiful country from Dominica to “rooseveltskerrit” la la land; and the capital Roseau to “melisssa”, nothing will surprise me once this madman and modern “Jim Jones” continues to be the PM of Dominica.
I just broke out my telescope to search for what was done in Possie!!!!!
Oh yes man, Russ left for Barbados.
Keep going, the Supreme Leader. Do not forget also to name the Media Center at the Windsor Park Stadium to one of our great sports personality, “The Jeff Charles Media Center”. He deserves it by all means.
