A trough system will continue affecting the area during the next 12 to 24 hours. This is expected to maintain an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the island during the period. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks, particularly in eastern communities should be vigilant.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24hrs with wave heights increasing to 8.0ft along the eastern coast tonight. A Small Craft Advisory is now in effect for above normal seas. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Sea-bathers should stay out of the water.
