Today marks the official start of the Atlantic Hurricane season.
Weak unstable conditions associated with a weak low-level trough are approaching the area. As a result, some cloudiness and some light scattered showers can be expected across the area including Dominica. A westward-moving tropical wave is expected to make its way across the southern portion of the region on Thursday into Friday.
Slight dust haze will be observed in some areas, with an increase in concentration expected on Thursday.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 48 hours, with waves peaking at 5.0ft in eastern coastal waters.
