WEATHER (6:00 AM, June 20): Weak tropical wave to affect Southern region tonight; another to approach area by weekend

A high-pressure system is expected to result in a relatively dry atmosphere today. Lingering moisture is expected to generate some scattered showers across the area. Meanwhile, a weak tropical wave is expected to affect the southern region tonight.  Another tropical wave located in the central tropical Atlantic is expected to approach the area by the weekend.

Varying concentrations of dust haze are expected to linger during the next few days. People are advised to take all the necessary precautions to avoid health complications.

Slight to moderate seas can be expected in open water with waves peaking near 7ft.
