WEATHER (6:00 AM, May 25): Cloudiness, scattered showers expected in some areas today; dust plume throughout the week

An increase in moisture and instability is expected across the area during the next 24 hours. This is expected to support increased cloudiness and some scattered showers over parts of the island during today.

A Saharan dust plume is expected to persist throughout the week. People with respiratory sensitivities should take the necessary precautions to avoid complications.

Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 to 48 hours, with waves peaking to 5.0ft in eastern coastal waters. Mariners should exercise caution due to low visibility in haze.
