IN PICTURES (with video): Choksi arrives at the Magistrate’s Court in Roseau

The video and photos below show Indian fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi arriving at the Roseau Magistrate court to answer to charges of illegal entry into Dominica.

Choksi, a fugitive from India, claims he was brought to Dominica after being abducted in Antigua where he became a citizenship under that country’s CBI programme.

In addition to the charges of illegal entry he faces deportation from Dominica.

You have to be sounding like you are – “you aself” – I have to remember my dad telling me NEVER speak like this.
Now if only “you aself” would have read up or noted during primary school civics class that you knew where timbuktu was, and you had an ATLAS and STUDENT COMPANION – you should be asking – why “they aself” schools did not teach them like “you aself” school.

We knew the rest ofthe world exist – not all but we knew quite a bit. Do “you aself” ever remember playing – PEOPLE- PLACES- THINGS-ANIMALS and the list grew from A-Z. YOu would have known tons of countries cities etc exist even when you have not visited.

“You aself” do you ever remember playing the game “I DECLARE A CERTAIN PIECE OF LAND CALLED:”?

“You aself” would not be posting this nonsense on there. Hiding behind this name.
“You aself” have you heard other people say “do not call my name in the same sentence with certain things – SEE your name.
      CHEERS to “ASELF”

I am indian, I want to say
He is liar, he stollen almost 2 billion dollar from Indian people, Now he is playing he don’t want to come india.

Think If he is not loyal to his own country then how can any country assume He is good citizen ??

Same time he know by spending few lacs dollar he can get citizenship from other country.

Whenever time will come he will cheat your country, And happily move another country .

Justice must be done, he should face charges in india, If he is not guilty then it is 100% sure he will be free, but by playing like this shows he know the truth.

    🙏🙏🙏

@ Ansuman i totally agree with you. He should face charges in India if he stole any amount of money. He also has a right to a fair trial in india i hope and there is a legal process under which that happens. I have seen cases thrown out because the police did not read the miranda rights during arrest. There are processes through which one is sent back. You cannot violate a law to enforce another. I do hope all those who steal from the state of India, Antigua and Dominica get thier day in court. Corruption is rampant in India bureaucracy and government. I also know if someone steals and the cops find you with that stolen goods then you are just as guilty and can face prison time for handling stolen goods. Am i safe to assume if found guilty those who enjoy the share of the spoils are also guilty of handling stolen money. How does india recover the millions? Hence Antigua and other CBI sellers handling proceeds of crime are also accessory to the crime? Just asking.

Sorry this is not the case going on here. He is a citizen of Antigua and they dumped him on us. We need to send him back to Antigua so they can deal with his extradition to India. It is not our problem.

He is an Indian citizen. He is trying to fool world by obtaining Antigua citizenship after commitment of the crime. His Indian citizenship is not cancelled or surrendered by him. Is the public crime is condoned on running away and acquiring the citizenship of other nation by making false statements and liberal use of money influence. He is in fact a criminal of world order, brotherhood and administrative system.

Compere, I understand your pain and that of your country. However, what we Dominicans are saying is that we do not want to part of it because our involvement will violate international laws. So we are sending him to Antigua and you all will handle your business from there. All the best.

Papa… look at the lack of wheelchair accessibility to our court.

This is so embarrassing. 64,000 spent a month on the PM’s rent in Mount Daniel, and none spent on that eyesore, smelling Roseau?
What a shame to the world.

We are already helping by paying our Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit $64,000.00 plus rent and expenses, and he still gets his big salary! How you like that now? Sakway zort Dominican!

      From Another Dominican.

Don’t think anyone meant to hurt your feelings. Criticism should be taken constructively as to identify the issue at hand then work to correct it.

  5. June 2, 2021

Are you telling me that this is the state of an entrance to Dominica’s court, the government (Skerrit) entity? Why isn’t there a handicapped ramp at the courts? A government who promised to have Roseau updated in every respect has no shame. No shame.

  6. June 2, 2021

All of a sudden we are making a movie star out of a stranger who is supposed to be a person of crime in his homeland and running from there. Why don’t simply dispatch that man to the place where he is a legal citizen? Come on man! What do we need this for?

    • Frank N Stein
      June 3, 2021

Trust you to bypass the real issue here. Since Skerrit is guilty you up in the air defending. Address the issue here for once is your miserable pretend christian life.

Elizabeth check your last statement. “What do we need this for?”

You should call your god PM Skerro and ask that question. Choksi may be a criminal and deserve to be deported to somewhere but where? Further, he did not come here on his own doing so ask Skerro how did Choksi make it here and then wheel and come again. Some of us Dcans are just so hypocrite its pitiful.

ElizabethLinaXavier we need it for the CBI dollars that building your free house and paying the PM rent! Don’t worry be happy, it will attract Indian tourists!

      • June 6, 2021

@Truth Be Told, did you say “building your free house”? What a laugh! Don’t you know where I have been living for the past 47 years? So let it be known that I have been living in Toronto Canada for all that time. I left Dominica at a very tender age.

And as far as I know, my family all have their own house, long before that “building house” idea of the Government of Dominica. I don’t even support that program; just giving new houses to people without charge. So get your facts straight before you mention my name.

It is a very sad state of affairs when the sidewalk infront of the court is in such a state of disrepair. It reflexes poorly on the ruling government. The government is to be complimented on the progress and achievements over the years, but the sidewalks and streets of Roseau must be recognized as a failure even to supporters like myself.

It’s a bloody disgrace to see the deplorable condition of the ramp for the disabled to enter the court in Dominca. It doesn’t surprise me because Skerritt promised to eradicate pit latrines in Dominica and the job is far from being complete and we are in 2021. I’m sure it will not cost a hell of a lot to install a proper ramp. Since the court is on the bay front in the heart of where tourists enter the country, where is the pride that we have as a nation which boasts of resilience. It’s a damn shame, but I’m not surprised.

Where is the British and a Indian Man who accompanied Choksi on the Boat from Antigua? Where is the mystery women aka Choksi’s girlfried (as alleged by the PM of Antigua). Are these personalities to be asked to appear in front of the Magistrate?

Based on what I have read, it seems to me that PM Skerrit, Brown, the Dominica police department and dirty corrupt lawyers here carefully put this whole movie together and what is going on at the Court right now is nothing more than a children’s movie

You forget garçon how could they stop Monfared, a man that had our own diplomatic passport.

    June 2, 2021

If the man entered Dominica illegally then how did he enter? Did he swim to Dominica? If that’s how he entered Dominica then I would understand that charge. But if he came by boat where is the boat? Why was the boat not sized? Why was the captain not arrested for breaking the laws of Dominica? Boy I hope the police did not find themselves in an evil and corrupt plot with Evil and corrupt politicians

Leaving aside the issue at hand, that wheelchair ramp is a disgrace! How is it that an accessibility feature for a state entity can be allowed to fall into such a state of disrepair??!! Spend a few of those CBI dollars and fix it!

And now, looking forward to the commentary concerning the issue at hand.
