Grenada returned 15 Haitian nationals who arrived on the island over the last weekend, to Trinidad and Tobago, with immigration officials saying that they were not deported to the oil-rich Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country.
The Haitians were returned on Monday night after they were denied entry into the Spice Isle.
“They were denied entry to the island, they were not deported, so they were returned to Trinidad on Monday night to Trinidad which is the Port of embarkation on the way to Grenada,” said Superintendent Leroy Joseph, who is the head of the Immigration Department.

The Grenadians talk plenty of rotten baloney, talking about they are in solidarity Turkey, or where the Earthquake struck killing more then 43,000 people. The spinless Grenadians ran their mouth off saying “we are ready to help Ukraine). As if they are a military military power capable of sending arms and ammunition to Ukrainian.
Poor and hungry like Church mouse, talking fart, but when it hits close to home to help a hand full of Haitian refuges, they cannot help refuse to help them who are th their neighbors, black, and brown Haitians existing in more poverty, in a country in the Caribbean where people are know to haven eaten dirt ( and I am talking dirt, as from the earth to survive.
There is war in Ukraine, there is a dreadful catastrophe in Turkey; the war will eventually over without dog feces from Grenada, the Turkish people will survive, where it is not near poor as Haiti where poverty is forever.
How stupid and hypocritical are these dirty cold, black heart, Grenadians?
Well said, good points made imperative we support Black people.
Really a sad state of being as black people. To refuse our fellow Caribbean black people entry to our countries. We are under populated and they are escaping poverty and crime.
How many of us West Indian black people are illegal in the USA? Canada? French Islands?
If we do not like ourselves as black people, how do we expect other races to like us.
Absolutely Ibo!!! Lip service of the highest order. Shuffling those refugees from shore to shore can never be equated with being one’s brother’s keeper.
The current rampant and lawless state of affairs in Haiti warrants sincere humanitarian concern and tangible responses from the United Nations and its member countries who seem to be content with turning a blind eye while Haiti implodes.
I could not convey it better. Move to the head of the class Jeeves!
Well done Spice Isle. Nothing vital they are coming with except to erect dark houses of Gardé Safain, get people poorer, and evil. Yong, old middle age they are the damn same.
They are majestic People! If you fail to read and pride yourself in the old adage that: if one wants to hide knowledge from black people just put it in a book, then stay ignorant; it’s a lonely place to be in this age of information.
Poverty is a crime. The Haitian people have been abused, refused, incarcerated, exploited by almost every nation even by their CARICOM family.
Every time these regional heads pontificate on Haiti it is only lip service to assuage public outrage of the blatant lack of real and decisive actions on their part.
CARICOM is great on empty rhetoric.
HBO, you are full of crap. These people did this to themselves. I was shocked to have overheard a conversation between two Haitian men. One boasting of his people’s dominance on the island of Dominica. These people are not easy. One Haitian lady carried out a lengthy conversation with a Dominican, saying that, it was them (the Haitians) who gave Dominicans food after hurricane Maria. I wonder how they were able to bring the food over from Haiti. If you leave your house vacant for a few months these people will occupy it. Worst with your land. All I see and hear in my neighborhood are Haitians. We have no immigration laws in Dominica.
Have you lost your humanity? Where is the love, empathy and compassion? One thing I have learnt in life is this: Be careful how you treat people on your way up. They are the ones you have to pass on your way down. Everything changes. Nothing remains permanent. Today for me tomorrow for you.
One of the worst thing one can do is to kick a man when he is down. Stop kicking the Haitians.
