Mehul Choksi concerned about being kidnapped again

Mehul Choksi

Fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi has expressed fear that he might be kidnapped from Antigua and Barbuda and could be taken to Guyana. Choksi had earlier claimed that he was kidnapped from Antigua and brought to Dominica in May of this year.

The 62-year-old who is wanted by the police in his place of birth, India, in connection with a multi-billion-dollar fraud case, said he was reliably informed that another master plan is being made to abduct him again.

In an interview with an Indian media house, Choksi said he was told that he may be further taken away from Guyana in an unlawful and illegal manner and taken back to his homeland.

“I feel unsafe, I have been hearing there is another attempt to kidnap me now from Antigua to Guyana,” he said.

Choksi is presently confined to the limits of his house and his health is deteriorating further due to the traumatizing experience.

Since the last traumatic, brutal experience of kidnapping from Antigua to Dominica, my health has deteriorated a lot. I am just trying to recover from the shock. I feel very unsafe…”, he added.

Choksi went missing from Antigua on May 23 this year;  shortly after, he was caught in Dominica and was charged with illegal entry by local authorities.

He maintained his innocence and after weeks of being held in Dominica, in July, the High Court here granted him bail for medical reasons and he returned to Antigua, where he remains.

Choksi maintains that he will remain victorious in his legal bouts, both in Antigua and Dominica.

Honestly, this is what I call a new man. He changed his nationality and he also changed his name. Choski Mehul is not an Indian name. His real name was, “Ranjapamdramanhinim.”

@Toto, Choksi should pay you for the advice you just gave him. Or instead he could go to Cuba.

Deal with the reality and stop projecting what u think a UWP government would do

He should be sent back to India to face the consequences of his actions of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, cheating and dishonesty including delivery of property, corruption and money laundering. #SendHimBack.

Don’t know if the man is guilty in India, that is up to the courts there but he is a citizen of Antigua and could use his passport to travel to the U.K. visa free and ask the Brush for asylum.

The British government does not grant asylum to nether thieves or criminals of any kind!

They do not give asylum to fugitives either; which government in the world do you believe would condone that sort of thing?

Again, only in Dominica I suppose, where no law nor the constitution can prevent the dictator, and the scums of the earth thieves from doing such a thing!

Why would you even suggest such a thing, are condoning criminal behavior, and thievery?

DNO have you done any further investigations into both the Antigua and Dominica Court affairs? Any intelligence or analysis that you could add? Any value to your readership? What is the latest Court cases position with Mehul Choksi versus the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, and Mehul Choksi versus the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica?
