This new white elephant serves no naturally born Dominican. An embassy is a very , very expensive undertaking in that part of the world. This is just to create a few jobs for the DLP’s grey head fanatics. What does the common Dominican gain from this? Nothing! Nada!

I find it sad that a small Caribbean island with all the natural resources of Dominica should find it necessary to open an embassy in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Actually it makes sense since this is ground zero for the CBI program. So if you take into consideration the economic impact of the CBI on the Dominican economy this embassy makes more sense than any other.
Whatever your take on the program.

And there are always investment and financial aid opportunities beyond the CBI program. We’re talking about the UAE.

There is lack of focus, planning, thoughts on matters of programme or activities that should take place before spontaneously we just adopt a nice sexy programme , for example , the Embassy in the UAE way on the other side of the world. It will be a costly feat for the tax payers of Dominica and not necessarily that we will have on going developmental programmes coming into Dominica from the UAE. That is just a nightmare thought from Skerrit and obviously anyone called to go up there as an Ambassador will take this opportunity. There was no debate or news outlining the purpose of this Embassy and what exactly will this Ambassador be doing and also based on the cost what is the salary and living cost Per Diem, and what does the contract say re frequent visits back home to visit family and report to the government? This is real madness in Dominica. What is it are we producing in Dominica to gain revenue for our poor people. Skerrit isn`t a thinker, just an imaginary sleep walker & Talker.

The “crooked” smile on mister face alone telling you there is some sinister “sheet” going on behind the scenes. Another opportunist has found a place on the world stage.

While I am not one to preach xenophobia, I am always mindful that while “every muslim or person of Arabic/ Middle Eastern decent are terrorists, MOST terrorists are muslims and people of Arab/ Middle Eastern decent”.

It’s only a matter of time before this thing comes back and hunt us if we are not careful. It’s no secret now that the treasury is practically empty regardless of what the government tries to say, but in our haste to get quick money because of previous mismanagement we cannot ignore that facts on the global stage right now. Caution my people, please exercise caution!!!!!

You are given a medium to express your opinion regarding matters concerning The Country and this is what you use the opportunity to write, Wow. Why make all these baseless statements and innuendos. Do you have evidence to support your words “some sinister “sheet” going on behind the scenes.” Why would you make such an irrational judgement about a person face and associate it with such ludicrous behavior. As to what you are mindful of regarding Muslims and Terrorist, such belief is based on fear and an extension of your source of information through the media you have chosen to listen to. Do you know the amount of Countries
who have Embassies and Consulates in The United Arab Emirates, some of them are our neighbors in The Caribbean, pity your ignorance of the geopolitics and money regarding that part of the world. The facts that we cannot ignore on the global stage right now, is not the facts you have made up based on your ignorance, fears and innuendos.

Views Expressed are you talking about recovery for Dominica 🇩🇲. You were MIA or AWOL after the worst disaster struck the nation! It’s over 15 years since you are struck in fifth gear, singing the same old baseless chorus to your hardcore supporters. Views Expressed, there isn’t a name in the books that you haven’t call Skerrit, but, to your dismay he has grown even more popular!
The economy of Dominica is thriving and the betterment of our nation is being enhanced by the DLP. The UWP was elected and voted out after four short years, with IOU and Payless paydays. With all your MAYHEM Skerrit still running the 🚢. A word to the wise the 18 to 3 syndrome is very, very, very contagious. Happy 😊 Carnival 🎡.

What I have is the constant on going of the abuse of our states resources and the state of our Dominica being tarnished daily by Skerrit and his failed Labour government and blind acolytes. The integrity of our Dominica comes first and not Skerrit. For over 19 years Skerrit has created this failure and deterioration of our government, our Dominica and our people. I ‘m not going to waste my time to convince you that you are wrong, I will let the evidence and facts speak for themselves. However, Mr. Skerrit needs to stop treating these as his private matters and we the Dominican people must be informed prior to these things taking place. Your statement makes no sense because you are all about politics. The UAE, if you read, is a thriving economy and a nation which is ever expanding both physically and in population. Several people are moving from Europe and the United States to live and work there. My own cousin left the United Kingdoms and is an English teacher there, making ridiculous amounts of money.
