Within days from the sure-to-be spectacular occasion, the official guest list for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding has been released with some 16 Caribbean leaders and Heads of State to attend.
However no leader from Dominica is on the list.
According to a release from Clarence House – the official residence of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and home of Princes William and Harry the Caribbean leaders are as follows:
-The Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda
-The Governor-General of The Bahamas and Lady Foulkes
-The Governor-General of Belize
-The Governor-General of Barbados
-The Governor-General of Jamaica
-The Governor-General of St Christopher and Nevis
-The Governor-General of St Lucia
-The Governor-General of St Vincent and the Grenadines and Lady Ballantyne
-The Prime Minister of The Bahamas and Ms Delores Miller
-The Prime Minister of Barbados
-The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Mrs. Rosalia Nestor King
-The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and The Grenadines and Mrs. Ralph Gonsalves
-The Premier of The British Virgin Islands and Mrs. Ralph O’Neal
-The Premier of the Cayman Islands and Mrs. Kerry Bush
-The Premier of Bermuda
-The Chief Minister of Montserrat
The wedding ceremony is expected to take place on Friday at Westminister Abbey and 1,900 guests are to attend. Some 650 of those guests have also been invited to the lunchtime reception at Buckingham Palace, hosted by the Queen; and 300 will attend a dinner at the palace, given by Prince Charles.
Authorities speculate that some two billion viewers across the globe will tune in to see Prince William and Middleton exchange vows.
When Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer marry in 1981 it is said 750 million watched that ceremony.
