I hope their injuries are not severe and they will eventually heal.
All we hear is bad news, accidents, injuries and deaths.
There have been a few accidents in Ontario with injuries and deaths. Yesterday, two women died in separate accidents in different locations.
Speed is a major factor. It is scary on the roads. Some drivers, once behind the wheel think they are safe and will never get into an accident. They deceive themselves. Some of these accidents entail youths.
Two weeks ago three young people died in an accident; two others badly injured. Recently two 17 year-old died in another accident. We are losing some people due to accidents. Some of them could be avoided.
It bothers me that although drivers hear of accidents, etc., some of them continue to drive recklessly as also not obeying road signs and regulations. How stupid can they be?
Consider when accidents occur, the injuries, death, pain and suffering and grief are immense.

In Dominica, consider hospital costs. Some patients may be sent overseas for further medical treatment.
Injury could lead to death, permanent pain and paralysis.
Then the insurance eventual pay-out to those who are entitled to it. If the drivers are alive, their vehicle insurance policy will increase. If they are charged for careless driving, they will be arrested and incarcerated. Bail is expensive. Their license will be taken away for months, even years; some will be revoked.
The damaged vehicles may have to be replaced.
A court case will ensue. They may be imprisoned. The victims’ families will also sue them for an exorbitant sum of money.
Drivers, is it worth it to drive recklessly? It is high time to practice road courtesy and regulations; avoid accidents Stop rushing and driving recklessly.
Consider you, your life, passengers, your family and costs. You will get there and in one piece. The saying, “Slow and steady wins the race.”

Admin, Could you kindly confirm that the Police PRO is in fact Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste?
Our understanding is that he is a member of the Police Public Relations Committee. He is one of the two officials of the PR Committee authorized to speak / read news items on behalf of the said committee of which Mr. Claude Weeks is a member.
    Thank you for clarifying.
    Respectfully
    RV
