10 minutes is not a very long time for an ambulance to arrive to an emergency call. The Police are also trained in first aid and therefore, help was there almost immediately, if I read correctly. We should congratulate the quick response. instead of the ‘however’ in the peace. We have to be reasonable.

Listen Thomas, I cam not that young but can walk from one side of Roseau to the other in ten minutes, so ten minutes for an ambulance to arrive anywhere in town is a long time, no matter which way you put it.

After all these advises the law men have been giving to all these prospective law breakers, “Leave all those weapons at home, as u will not have a possible explanation for bringing them with u while in a carnival band”, yet the advise still went unheard by a few. I hope that some one saw the accused person and hoping to furnish the police with the information to bring. the perpetrator to justice .

My goodness! In the previous article, I commented too quickly.
This perpetrator was out for trouble. He must have planned it. I hope he was caught and arrested.
    Why spoil people’s carnival enjoyment?
I hope the victim will recover in time.
An ambulance with medical staff should have been nearby.

“An ambulance and medical staff should have been nearby.” I was with you until that last sentence.

Hope the victim can recover speedily from this senseless attack.

TEN minutes in all that big crowd in Roseau? That was very quick unless the ambulance was following the man waiting for him to be stabbed and then pick him up!!

Can’t you guys just have fun, you had to be a coward and stab a man in the back.
That was unprovoked because he wasn’t facing you. Hope you get caught and and pay with your life.
It’s about time we unite and look out for each other.

So sad to read this and I hope the victim recovers. I suspect the delay in the arrival of the ambulance may have been caused by congestion in the streets and would recommend we have paramedics on motorcycles to attend in the first instance and not just in Roseau. Our roads are such that it often takes a long time for medical assistance (ambulances in particular) to arrive and paramedics, stationed in strategic locations across the island, using motorbikes could be invaluable in providing first aid response quicker and possible safe lives.

There is no such thing as a peaceful carnival,,,people do not respect each other ,even the police don’t respect people ,i heard a police officer telling a woman ,”shut up or else i will slap you” simple because the woman was talking loudly on the streets,,,what do you expect from the civilians?

I want to know if the ambulance was parked around the corner, or whether the fire officers should drive over the revelers participating in jouvert morning jump up to get to the scene.
