Im 31 today thank you Jesus.
I remember 15year ago a dollar WAS alot…However I read that the P.M aka the minister of finaince knows nothing about money. So if you cannot understand your times table ..how will you be able to accurately divide money to the economy?
This is real life ..gvnt playing chess with us and I want to win too. Instead things are slow. Disaster money is being subtracted for foreign n personal pleasure rather then truley being invested.
It must have brain drain here
A hungry man is a Angry man
And an Angry man don’t give a darm.

Is my P.M of my Nationality?? Hence the love level.

Poor boy! He is now 24 which means the poor boy was only 4 years old when Roosevelt Skerrit and the DLP got in power and was only 8 yrs when Roosevelt Skerrit became PM. They failed the young man and Dominica so bad, and now Melissa running for office she discovered the poor boy was a product of the failed policies of Skerrit and the DLP? Man after listening to Melissa talking about “Crimes Must stop” I just had to run to the bathroom because this is just a clear reminder of how Skerrit and the DLP have FAILED our young people.

@Free, Whatever you are I must say you are the most illiterate robot ever, and I bet you have never traveled in your life since you left your MsH you idiot. Had this fatal stabbing happen for example in America, or England and the victim died you and others would not be talking like that but in Dominica, stupid talks like that is acceptable. Today in the UK big citys black boys and girls killing each other at a rate of 2/3 a week knife wounds or guns so what has medical health care system got to do with it bloody traitors and idiots..

From evidence gathered I think the police officer should give up his self for the shooting of young man in Portsmouth. U know the officer said shot him shot him and you shot him. If corruption start from the top how do we expect the country to heal. Why when the police station was called and told a man in pain for him life and was shot the officer said he dont know anything about that and put down his fone. Like is a habbit now. Police just wanna kill people and get away

With all de jumbee money flowing around, you should make sure your king send you school. Look now college free. Go and learn to spell before coming on DNO and make an *** of yourself. While you are at it, come to Salisbury to learn how to be an independent person, who does not have to dress on Wednesday to go and beg! Damn illiterate!! The topic being discussed is a stabbing in Roseau. Get with the program.

” No law, no constitution”. A poor choice of words that is bedeviling Dominica. Although one must admit that the incidences of violent crimes are on the rise everywhere, this type of language from those in power only exacerbates and inflames violence. Our leaders should be talking about laws and ways to curb and to deal with the blood thirsty among us.

I have live in Dominica as a young teenager, never have i heard, anything like that. However, just an altercation can lead to someone’s death? Its very sad when a family lose a love one like that.
I believe that the gov’t must take a stand and do something about the situation before another one happen. Justice must be served.
Trust in the Lord young people. The Bible said thou shall not Kill. I live on the ten commandments as a child going to church in Dominica, and today I’m still serving God and even better. STOP THE KILLING IN DOMINICA. PLEASE DON’T LET BLOOD TO BE ON OUR LAND. God bless

  9. May 27, 2019

As a young christian, it is very heart breaking to see our nation being divided by politics. This is a spiritual war and not a war of flesh and blood. When a nation tramples on God’s laws, there will be many consequences. Stop blaming each other. Whether blue or red there has always been an agenda by Satan, to infiltrate the governments and the system. The world is closing, and people are here blaming others. I’m sick of this. God sets up and puts down. Return to the Most High!!

It’s a man’s own mind that leads him to kill and destroy. People have to take responsibility for their own actions. Stop blaming the devil and blame the individual who committed the act. Can a murderer get away in a court of law by claiming it is the devil that made him do it? Dominica, which was one of the most tranquil and peaceful countries on earth is playing ‘catch up’ with other murderous countries. Dominica is rapidly descending into rottenness: constant murders, high level corruption, hardened political strife, persistently high rate of joblessness, rising poverty, vagrancy and mendicancy, and the depressing trends go on. The country badly needs a U change.

It is time we revert to capital punishment . These senseless killings have to stop. Instead of we Dominicans on DNO encouraging parents to raise their children properly we are there looking to blame someone else. I would also charge the murderer’s mother . It is high time that this stupidity stops. We are to laid back in this country.

Folks, I ask that we put the deception of politics aside and consider the spiritual implication of this perpetual tragedy that continues to afflict our people.

Whether in Brixton, Chicago, Kingston, San Paulo or Roseau, our people continue to perish due to disobedience, foolishness, folly, wickedness and most of all, a lack of knowledge.

Please see Deut. 28 to see how we find ourselves in such a perilous state across the Diaspora and beyond and what we must do to come out from under this and other scourges.

In investing heavily in the prison industrial complex instead of viable education and job training for at risk youths, America and other nations have hedged their bets that our youth will inevitably crash and fail; however, fret not as the Most High, our Creator, is our hope and remains bullish on us.

Politics affects everything about our daily lives. It has an impact on our standard of living, employment opportunities, even what we eat and the quality of air we inhale. Politics doesn’t have to be a bad thing. We can oppose each other but that should not make us everlasting enemies. We can practise politics of inclusion, fairness, honesty and love and refrain from politics of hatred, greed, selfishness, destruction, dishonesty, disunity and character assassination. Politics doesn’t have to be divisive and obscene but greedy, narcissistic politicians have made it that way for personal aggrandizement. If you want to see someone’s true self, give him power. Are you truly satisfied with the politics that is practised by our leaders in government. The government is the one that sets the tone for the country. If the govern is criminal, society becomes criminal. To whom much is given, much is expected.

Ibo France, I generally enjoy reading your well reasoned and thoughtful posts. Though I fully understand your viewpoint on this particular matter concerning the merits , flaws and responsibilities of political administrations, I disagree with the level of influence you ascribe to them.

Democratically elected administrations are given a majority edict by the people to govern and to address the people’s common concerns. If rule of law and constitutional mandates are adhered to, the people will have the electoral right to show an inept or failing administration the door.

Whether an administration is elected for 4, 5 or 6 years, the average voter will have multiple cycles to exercise his or her franchise to assess and elect whom they feel will better serve their interests. In the meantime, do not put too much faith and hope in the institutions and governments of this world. “Look to the hills from our help comes from”

  12. May 27, 2019

You re so unsympathetic . where does the PM come in with another killing another ? So Skerit told the boys fight and kill I guess right ? The change we need is the way we think and treat each other . A lawless man is lawless to God’s law , “thou shalt not kill I wish the family of the deceased well . Also the relatives of the young man who killed .

To those of you who are rushing to blame the Prime Minister and his government for this sad cases, that is happening at home, just stop and listen to yourselves for a short while to hear how foolish and senseless you all are sounding.

It is your kind (the state of your mind) who has our people struggling to make sense of these sorry affairs that is happening at home; the worse part is that you people are in your adult ages–but thinking like small children; even if they do better than you all.

The Prime Minister is a human being like the rest of us, are you also expecting him to be following all of those wayward young men, that walk the streets of Roseau, to make sure that they are living according to the Laws of the Land?

How is that his fault that our young adult men are killing (taking each other’s Life) with no respect for humanity, all in all; how do you suggest that he put a stop to this animalistic behavior?

Our young men and women should never adopt the gangster life style of hardened thugs and criminals of the US. When doing so, these misguided youths are importing death. The current administration should incentivize the economy so that these idle minds and hands can be gainfully employed. The unemployment rate of the young people is staggeringly high. Nothing stops a bullet like a good paying job. Divert some of the funds that are used to purchase those sophisticated weaponry to vocational education, to stimulate youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, for crime reduction purposes, for parenting classes and for after school programmes to keep the youths gainfully occupied. The focus is too much on politics.

Let me show you how we adapt foolishness in our country: One from Wesley chop-up somebody, case went to High Court in Roseau.

My late father was on the Jury, (cutting it short) my father told me the Judge ask the fool “so you are a Boxer?”
The fool said yes, I am a boxer, and also a Cow Boy!
        Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

The fool watch Bruce Lee Kong FU movies, and hear people in China movies calling themselves boxers, so the Wesley fool chop-up people because he is a Boxer and a Cow Boy; the fool never own a cow in his life.

Another one plunge a knife in someone belly in Wesley.

He went to court told the judge, ( well I doh take chances I hugged him like this and pricked him with the knife!)
The idea of the hugging and knife scenario, is from the mafia move:

The I take no chances is from an Western Movie; they believe the things they do are all natural!

We have before us this day a choice. It’s a choice between Evil and good, Blessing or a Curse. If we chose Skerrit again we will see a continuation of the same evil, same curse and the same old things we have experienced here the last 5 years, will just get worse and worse.
We have a choice between saving/ delivering DA, or keeping it in bondage. If we vote Skerrit again, you, me, our children and grandchildren will never see Freedom again.
People, if we vote Skerrit again we will continue to have more stabbings, mor shooting and more fighting.
Sunday mornings use to be a big day before. That was the day we went to church to pray together. That was the day we gathered on the playing fields, playing cricket and rounders together as young people. @Barry you is either you don’t reside in Dominica or you walking with your eyes closed. What does the PM have to do with that you asked. Well let me be are little more blunt and prophetic. You see that Jumbee money they have circulating and keeping parties all over? You see that Jumbee money they using to buy candidates and other people of influence? Mark my words @Barry, the Jumbee money they getting might be able to pay their mortgage but it will not be enough to pay for the life of their loves ones. We will see how that devil money will hurt those that rejecting integrity and honesty just to support their evil leader. I gave that prophetic warning when he was giving his Devil money in his pit latrine gimmick. It was not long after we saw Erika followed by Maria and ther rest is history. When people that know better do, accept, and receive what they know is dirty, corrupt and Jumbee money, they will not enjoy it and the cost will be greater than what they received.

The Prime Minister nor the Labour Party did not directly have anything to do with this murder. The person who did the act should be held responsible and pay dearly. However, the government sets the tone for the rest of the country. The government has set the breeding grounds for crime to flourish. The high unemployment rate is a problem. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop. The hateful and nauseating words by the PM and his underlings stir anger and division among the citizens. It creates a haven for animosity, conflict and confrontation. Hardly anyone now believes in peaceful conflict resolution. You disagree with somebody, you talk too loud to a person or you accidentally step on their toe and it’s a fight, shooting, stabbing or one huge commotion. Tension is palpable; everyone seems on edge. The country is like a volcano with red hot magma ready to blow its lid.

Stabbing or shooting a fellow human being to death is an act of savagery. Only one life each of us is given and we should live it to its fullest extent. No one has a right to shorten another man’s life on earth unless it’s self defence. Heart-felt sympathy to the family, friends and acquaintances of the deceased.

Words matter and those in position should be held accountable for their loose words. When I was growing up, one murder a year used to be a big thing in Dominica, now it seems like a common thing.

Lawlessness has ALWAYS existed in Dominica. In times past, they used stones, cutlass, a piece of wood, etc. Nowadays, they have upgraded to guns. Remember the thugs who killed Mr. Honeychurch, Mr. Laurent from Picodeau ( Grandbay) , the young girl who killed her sister, the nurse? I think they are from Goodwill? The girl from Roseau who stabbed her sister because of that policeman? We are just hearing about those crimes because times have changed. In this era of TV, guns, fast life, fast cars, nice things without no job, and IDLENESS, and those thugs following the American way, this is bound to happen.
