DNO has received information that prominent broadcaster Ferdinand Frampton has died.
Frampton has been ailing for some time and was a patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
Frampton died at the age of 64 and wore many hats including the General Manager and Programe Director at DBS radio and the Assistant Manager of Voice of the Islands Radio.
He worked as a teacher, a salesman, a broadcaster, a manager, a Justice of the Peace and a community Worker.
He was the Secretary of the Dominica Boxing Association, a Board member of the Dominica Cricket Association, Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Football Association and Assistant Secretary of the Dominica Taxi Association.
He also served as chairman of the Point Michel Village council and South Western village Council.
My deepest condolences to the Frampton family. He was an integral part of the Pointe Mcihel community and Dominica as a whole. May he rest in peace.
I have appealed to many in Dominica ( to no avail ) to focus on preventive care but also better care for the many health issues Dominica faces. Lets us all get in on improving healthcare in Dominica

What a great loss indeed to Broadcasting in the commonwealth of Dominica. I found him to be quite a pleasant individual when I first met him in the Nature Isle circa 1995. I extend my sincere condolences to his family. R.I.P Mr.Frampton.
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mr Ferdinan, a family friend. I remember the good you did for us to help ease the pain of the struggle we faced whilst growing up as teenagers. On behalf of my family, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to your supportive wife and the rest of your family circle. May they find comfort and solace in the mercies of God Ulmighty in this time of grief. RIP Ferdie
He was our manager for the Dominica un-20 football team that toured Jamaica in 2000. He is the best football manager i have played under. He was all about the players being comfortable and having everything that they needed. He will surely be missed. Those sports managers today should take a page from Ferdie.
He was a very very good English Teacher. Sympathies to the Frampton family, inlcluding Joan and Ferdina

What a poor piece of journalism by Q95 Matt. 14 to 16 hour after the man passes, he had the testicular fortitude to have the man wife answering question on his radio show.
I do understand many people in DA are sad about what happen to Mr.Frampton and would like to find out what real happen but at the same time, his wife should have been given time to console herself.
Is this modern journalism in DA????
What else won’t we criticize? No one held a gun to her head JACK. She spoke of her own free accord. Fed up of all the crap!!!!
Oh Shut the hell you hypochrite aka DA LOVE. What is sad is your disrespect and embarassing attempt to derail Matt by using this. Matt is like a son to Ferdinand and his wife. Joan called because this is what Ferdi would have done himself, speak to the people, if you don’t know what is going on hush. Ferdina then called. Matt NEVER asked the poor lady for any information. The people had their stuff arranged. Leave Matt alone and let Ferdinand wife and children deal with their loss whichever way they see fit. He was a journalist, when his friends passed on this is what he did live on air, they paid the same tribute to him.
ONE THING MATT HAVE MALEH WITH ALLU DOMINICANS WI….SMH….
to/@DA LOVE.why dnt you go luck ur self in a cage at a zoo and keep ur smelling mouth out of those ppl business!! mr ferdinand was a great friend to matt.some of allu in Dominica finding all kind of ways to point fingers at matt.nothing isnt wrong in talking to mrs frampton about her late husband and she didnt have any problem of talking to matt,if she had she wouldnt have payed matt any attention.im a 19 year old and im seeing all the stupidness thats going on in the country.LEAVE MATT ALONE LET HIM DO HIS JOB!!!!
My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr Frampton. To Ferdina be strong my girl…To Miss Joan you did your best. I had the opportunity to work with Mr Frampton and he was like a father to his staff….He was such a pleasant man..RIP
may his soul rest in peace!! will remember him as a very warm and gentle man. deepest sympathy and condolencesto his family.
Sincerely Condolences to all the Frampton family who were related to Mr. Frampton.
He and I came from the same village, but then he moved on from there.

oh oh..RIP Mr Frampton…just d other day i heard you so vibrant on the radio………
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ferdinand Frampton. I met “Ferdie” (as he was called then) in my early days at the Dominica Grammar School. It was not long before we became friends, he was easy to befriend. A very boisterous young man, always willing to engage you in positive discussions & challenge you to perform at the the highest level. My fondest & proudest memory of him was when I was home in 1978 and he was partly responsible for getting me a seat right behind him as the debate raged regarding our upcoming Independence, it was such a pleasure to watch as my old School friend reported on the proceedings for DBS Radio.
To his family, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy and sincerely hope you will find peace & comfort in the following words:
“Be calm, god awaits him at the door”.
“Sometimes the Lord just takes blessed people when they’ve filled their purpose early. Everyone plays their own song. They sing their own song. They sing their story to the world and leave behind a melody of memories. Sometimes their song is cut short and ends too early. But that does’nt mean their music was any less sweet or that they left any less of an impression !”
Goodbye Ferdie, “RIP my friend, till we meet again !
My heartfelt sympathy to the family of Mr Frampton.
This man has been a positive influence on my life.
From the days of cable and wireless football club where he took time to serve as manager ,his excellence as a broadcaster with clarity and mastery of the English language Mr Frampton was someone who I respected. Respect not demanded but gracefully earned.
