A car was completely destroyed by fire in New Town about half an hour ago.
Firemen were quick on the scene, however by the time they arrived the vehicle was completely engulfed by the flames.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.

@……They took the man to the hospital because he was crying uncontrollably, so I don’t think he did it for insurance money. People are too quick to judge when they don’t know anything about the facts. Maybe he struggled and saved for a long time to buy the vehicle. Maybe he just bought it yesterday or last week and it was all he had!!!!

Right in Canada someone told me about New Town, that there is an area where drug addicts congregate and it is really scary to walk there.
What happened to New Town? I recall those days when New Town was a nice place. Some people I knew resided in New Town especially when we were attending the CHS. I use to go to New Town. There were also some prominent Dominicans who resided then in New Town.
We do know that through the years Dominica is not what it was in those days. I will state, some Dominicans. There is illegal drugs, crimes, murders and guns which are existent in Dominica and sadly so. If the majority of them reside in that area, obviously it will be a scary place for law-abiding people to go to or to walk near them.
If that is waht the person can afford and it takes them from A to B, what is the problem, at least they have a car, I hope you have one
