Man found dead in Belles

Police InvestigationNews reaching Dominica News Online (DNO) indicates that a middle aged-farmer from Belles was found dead at his home some time last night.

A Belles resident told Dominica News Online (DNO) that the man, who has been identified as Isidore, was found partially decomposed in their “village” house by his brother who had launched a search for him after not having seen him for some time.

The two live together on their farm house some distance from the village.

According to our source, there were visible blood marks on the floor and wall and the deceased was found wrapped in a sponge.

The mood in the village is a quiet one mingled with shock.

All attempts by DNO to contact the police on the matter have so far been unsuccessful.

DNO will follow this story and bring more information as it becomes available.

No one deserves to be killed. My uncle was never a Troublesome man. He and his brother lived together but each had separate lifestyles, and jobs. They wasn’t together every time. Even though they lived together. They would see each other every 3 days or so. .. The person who did it god. God, He saw, he knows, he hears. Uncle
… I love u. U will always be in my heart. I love u oh.. Uncle. Hmmmm

Even if there were two houses in different locations they would be the most obvious places to look for the missing man. Why then should the man only be found after he has started decomposing? The brother is clearly the most obvious suspect and should be thoroughly grilled by the investigators, particularly considering the blood spatter on the floor and wall.

I, too, am confused, DNO. Your story is just unclear. Did the bothers live on their farm away from the village but had a house in the village where the man died? Was the man related in any way to the person who found his body? Did the person who found the body had reason to go in search of the man, “who had launched a search for him after not having seen him for some time?”

In any case, someone seem to have died in suspicious circumstances. Wish the family and love ones well.

A death is always a sad one. The statement of the brother is grounds for suspicion. The police should hold him under suspicion and interrogate him. Why would he be searching for his brother if they lived together? Something is fishy.
Police, question every possible person who may know them. Did they have a misunderstanding? Or was there a continuing rift between them? These things may not occur overnight.
May his soul rest in peace.

Admin: In his statement he refers to two houses a “village” house and the farm house in which they lived. After searching the body was found in the “village” house which is some distance from the farmhouse.

It is their responsibility to do so. If they know and are hiding something, if not directly, they are equally responsible for his death.

This is sad it really looks like neighbors don’t look out for their neighbors any more. Is that how politics divide dominica? Someone has to be in decomposing state for people to know you pass.what a shame.

Where does politics enter into this? Love of neighbor and concern are what you should have stated.

So sad may his soul R.I.P
DNO your statements are sometimes confusing: The body was found in their “village” house by his brother who had launched a search for him after not seeing him for some time.
Yet later you state that the two LIVE TOGETHER….. so what is it ? if they share a home together and the body was found in the house , why was he searching for him. Please clarify. Thank you.

Admin: The article is based on the statements made by the brother of the deceased.

I would like to think that if someone is missing you check their place of residence, the farm where the person work. The house on the farm which is where the person live. There is a mystery and if there is foul play then the perpetrator(s) is not smart at all.
