The Dominica Law must be more stringent. People’s lives are at stake. Drivers must drive carefully and not drink hours before driving or while driving. It is said that liquor remains in the blood, on the breathe and in the blood for approximately seven hours.
Toronto has a new Law. The fine was increased. If the police catch drivers under the influence of liquor, they will automatically spend a day or night or both incarcerated. They will not escape Scot Free. Obviously, they will have to take a breathalyzer test and will be arrested.
Their vehicle is also examined for road-worthiness. If it is not, it will be pounded and towed away.
In spite of that some drivers still drive recklessly and drink and drive. If caught and should they have an accident, they will pay a dear price of (also) possible imprisonment.

No insurance and driving dilapidated motorcycles?
When they are behind the wheels or over them, they never think that they could get into an accident and injure or kill themselves and/or pedestrians.
These types of drivers should be imprisoned.
Their license should be revoked and they should never be allowed to drive again.

Where are they rushing to in a place where the health system is not leaving much hope for the badly injured nor for the seriously ill people, get a grip before it is too late, make sure that every vehicle is insured because most times vehicle have accidents they injured or kill others while they remain safe..

I hope the young man is ok but from the looks of it is one of those damned delapidated mopeds again. They are a menace, cutting up traffic right left and centre and even menaging pedestrians. I wonder how many of them are insured or fit to be on the road. The police should crack down on them and make random stops to make sure they are properly licenced and insured. God help those who get injured by one of them and can whistle for any compensation.

I saw one again today. Not even a headlight or a licence plate on it. Where are our police patrols? 90 motorbikes given by China. Where are they?

Dominica have no law for motor cycle most of them don’t have insurance they over take on any side and if you blow your horn they try to get back at you some way or other most of them not even fit for the road until the law do something about it we will have a disaster on our hands I personally se one riding with a flash light one night not saying that this rider was at fault but the law is turning a blind eye to safety.

These crazy driving motorcyclists need to be given tickets and go to court and be fined. Their motorcycles need to be seized. Then the police will find some of the stolen motorcycles. They are dangerous drivers and every now and again one of them gets killed. Many of them like to drive drunk.

Could this accident have been avoided?
Drive cautiously and safely. Observe road regulations as also signs to stop and look out for traffic and also pedestrians.
