So sad he had to die in this manner, all alone, on a table.
May his soul rest in peace. Amen!

what is the point of placing an obviously dead body in an ambulance then taking that dead body to teh hospital just for a doctor to pronounce it dead? Ambulances are not make to pick up dead bodies i believe you pick up dead folks in a Hurst and take them directly to a funeral home. what can be done is you have district doctors whom the police can call and they visit the scene and make a pronunciation of death right there.

Funeral homes cost money, the hospital doesn’t.

This is the procedure. An autopsy has to be performed. After this is done, the body is given to the funeral home.

The Police can’t pronounce anyone legally dead, even if they are obviously dead. That has to be done by a medical doctor. As for being transported by ambulance that is the best way tbh.

I remember Ugly Willy when I lived in D/ca. He was a character. He was docile but he harmed no one. I do not think he was ugly. He was a slim man with light-brown skin. He needed a good dentist to take care of his teeth. I think he would grin and showed his teeth. This may be why he was named “Ugly Willy.”
When he was asked how he was, he would say, “Moin bon con bobon.” Correct my patois. It meant, “I am as good as cake.”
I cannot remember I ever saw him begging. There were people who would give him a meal.
When I passed by, there were times I saw him sitting quietly near the street or walking, not bothering anyone. Some people especially children would tease him.
Your comment brought back those memories. :)
I remember there were times he wore torn pants. Some people would also give him shirt and pants. Though dirt poor (as we would say), I think he was liked. I wouldn’t be surprised if his soul is Heaven. RIP Willy.

I know just what you mean, back then those guys like Ugly and Harral were of the few transients we all ever knew, …that’s until the introduction of coke and crack to our streets circa early 90’s, then hell broke loose.
