Prayer vigil for Shanice Jemmot tomorrow

Shanice has been missing for a week now

The Isaiah Thomas Secondary School is embarking on a prayer vigil tomorrow for Shanice Jemmot’s safe return.

The vigil is expected to begin at 8 a.m.

The entire school will be in devotion and a number of religious leaders have been invited to offer encouragement and prayers.

Students are to wear green ribbons which signify the hope of finding her and a time will be set aside to light candles.

The public is invited to attend and offer solidarity.

Shanice disappeared last Thursday and she is yet to be found despite attempts to locate her.

DOMINICA IS WATCHING TO MUCH OF AMERICAN SHOWS THEY BEHAVE JUST LIKE THE AMERICANS . MAYBE. SHE IS HELD HOSTAGE . I KNOW WHAT THAT FEELS LIKE , BECAUSE, I WAS HELD HOSTAGE MYSELF. OR MAYBE SOMEONE IN HER FAMILY MUST OF KILLED HER AND NO ONE ISN’T SPILLING THE BEANS NO ONE ISN’ T TALKING. WHAT IS DONE IN THE DARK WILL SHINE IN THE LIGHT. SO, TRUTH PREVAILS ALL THE TIMES. LIES COME TO A COMPLETE END. YOU KNOW YOURSELF.

It was a very powerful vigil. First time I see some students shed tears so easily.
Shanice I hope you will be back home soon. You was at Portsmouth opening and other places now go home because you have your mom real worried. Make the right choice!

It angers me that Shanice is not found….she is somewhere out there…Dominica is small place with alot of forestry, she could be anywhere out there, but she could also be right beneath our noses being held against her will…..GOD PLEASE HELP US FIND THIS YOUNG GIRL ALIVE, BLESS HER, PROTECT HER, GUIDE HER!…..I think Schools should team up together with parents and citizens to look for this young girl….in groups of 10 or 5 with adults and at least 2 officers….spread out…dedicate a weekend of search…we are bound to find her.

when the french man was missing helicopter was flying like they looking for mosquito..PM!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU HELP US?????? WE ARE NOT ASKING YOU TO COME OUT TO SEARCH BUT AT LEAST YOU ARE CHIEF IN COMMAND! SEND SOME HELP FOR US PLEASE!……WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT

Dominica is not a selfish nation!!!!!!!! we are very caring people…no matter what people may say or we may say about each other…Domincans are people who care about others…our pride is what keeps us from doing what is right,

A prayer a day will bring Shans back home..

To the family of that young girl my heart goes out to you guys. I pray that God will deliver her back in your arms withought a scratch. God is able and well able. Be of courage. Ask and it shall be given , search and u shall find. I pray that God will give u peace a peace that passeth over all understanding in Jesus Name and sweet sleep again. With God all things are possible. Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for i am with thee: be not dismayed; for i am thy God: I will strength thee; yea, i will help thee ; yea, I will uphold thee with thy right hand of my rigthteousness. We may not see it clear right in this situation but in Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. All is well, All is well, All is well In Jesus name

Shanice if you are reading this and you are not tied or locked-up, able to leave, please return to your family or go the nearest police station. Nothing worst can happen to you by doing that. For the sake of your love ones and yourself please go home or just call someone to come and get you. will continue to pray for her safe return,

  28. Have you seen this child?
    February 24, 2011

The thing is not enough information is given about the case.

What mode does she use for school…walk or bus?
    What route does she use?
Where was she last seen? By whom?
Did anyone from her school see her that day?
Was there any conflict with anyone in the previous days or weeks?
Are there any child molesters in the vicinity?
Did they search all those idle pedofiles homes who sit there and seek the young girls on the way to school?

I really pray to God that they get her. Because this is very sad situation, not only for the family, but Dominica on a whole. How do parents feel now about their children’s safety? I am aware that they are always concerned but now, makes it worst.
What i really want to say is. When in fact that she comes back home, both she and her family needs to seek some professional help in order to deal with this situation. It is not just saying that she is home and evrything is alright. They need to be able to cope with it. Because what will affect her will affect the family.
So please family members reading this, this is my advice to u get some professional counciling to deal with the situation. I have ur best interest at heart when i say that.
God bless and keep shanice and u guys.

    February 24, 2011

this is what i honestly didn’t want to hear about,,,, once i hear about vigil then it gives the assumption that people have feared for the worst already,,,, get the scouts n officers,,, community elders and all to get the child,,, somebody must know something it’s impossible,,,, somebody walking this street must know something about the girl,,, what scares me worse is the possibility this can happen to another child,,,, we should match in front the high court to demand stricter punishments for child molesters,,, and a no bail condition for such criminals,,,, and if indeed a child molester is found guilty or on bail,,, then he/she must be fitted with a monitoring device

        February 24, 2011

Mouth of the south has a good point; not every time he says something for some one to think negative of him; call a saw a saw; you must learn to praise people when they do or say something positive.
He is right and we all should be praying for the safe return of the child and stop the negativity. In no one should that child be left by herself if the authority knew that this guy was out on bail. There should be some system to protect children/people like that.
And yes when a child molester, murderer or anyone who is a danger to society has given bail, he should have on a monitoring device so that his where abouts can be know.
