Prominent businessman dies suddenly

John Charles

Businessman John Charles has died suddenly.

Charles was the manager of J.A.Charles Pharmacy store in Roseau.

According to reports reaching DNO, Charles collapsed at the home of a neighbor.

He was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), where efforts to revive him failed.

Charles, who was president of the Dominica Olympic Committee, was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

The police are investigating the matter.

Some of these comments are so very mean. Since when D’cans became that way? Weren’t you negative people taught that if you don’t have anything nice to say just don’t say anything? As some people rightly stated, “today is him, tomorrow might be you”. RIP Mr. Charles!

It’s okay to say that my position is self and I am not nice. I’ll not be hypocritical and say he was a “nice” man because he died.

If in my view he was a good man I would say so and give him his bouquet. However, I do not see it regarding Mr Charles thus I expressed otherwise. People who feel differently or thought he was a “nice” man that’s their personal opinion and I respect that as well. The man just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Anyway…..why can’t we be a bit sympathetic at least to the grieving family members? Alas ….has our hearts gone so cold? There is good and bad in everyone and only God can and will judge us all when we stand before him. Another individual has departed this life…..the next might be you or me. Consider that and lets concentrate on getting our lives on the right track. If you have nothing good to say about someone, then say nothing at all.
RIP Mr Charles and to his family I extend my deepest sympathy. The Lord giveth and taketh away. Mysterious are the ways of God, and we have to bow to them. Feel comforted that he lived a fulfilled life. Blessed are you that mourn for you shall be comforted.

      @ Looking in

God is the judge. Is there anyone on this earth who is truly perfect? While some criticize and make derogatory remarks, they are not living up to God’s Commandments and His expectations.
God knows the heart. You are not God. If you cannot say anything good about the departed, say nothing especially on a Website.
Everyone has some good and bad in them. He must have done some good in his life. During his life he must have done some good. If his good outweigh the bad, God will reward Him and save him. Judge not that you may not be judged accordingly and two-fold. We leave all to God.

Hi. You’re trying to be comforting and that’s very good. But the scriptures show that God does not ‘call his angels to be with him’ by killing humans and leaving their loved ones heartbroken and often in need. That would be such a cruel God, but the Bible says at 1John 4:8: “God is love.”

Regarding angels, Job 38:4,7 shows that untold numbers of angels were present when God brought the universe including the earth into existence, and they all shouted in applause. This was long before humans were created, so God certainly does not need to, and never does kill humans to create angels.

Dead people are in the grave, waiting for the resurrection, as faithful Job prayed regarding himself to get relief for his suffering. – Job. 14:13-15.

This is the truth, and it is certainly more comforting than the thought that the God who loves us, in order to manufacture more angels, will kill or cause the death of our loved ones, as if he needed them more than we do.

Our dead loved ones are in the grave awaiting a resurrection. We should try to remain faithful to Jehovah God so that we will be around to welcome them back to life.
