Tarish Pit man found dead

The house where the dead man was found

At about 8 this morning, the body of a man, who is only known as ‘Andrew’, was discovered in Tarish Pit by a nearby neighbor.

The neighbor reported, on condition of anonymity, that he had taken a fall over the weekend and received some trauma to the head; he has been wearing a bandage at the back of his head after that.

She recalled last seeing him on Tuesday when she gave him some money to buy bread.

“I found him on his back in his house on his bed, so I went over to him and called his name. When I touched him, I realized he was dead. Saturday he took a fall and he knocked his head, so I don’t know if that was the reason.  He was well over 50 though, ” she said.

The neighbor does not believe that there was any foul play involved, but did not entirely rule it out.

The police have already responded to the call and processed the scene and investigations into the matter are underway.

The body has been moved to a funeral home.

It is sad to read this that he died of a trauma to the head. Whatever the cause of this, as a good neighbor, I do think she should advised him to go to emergency to seek medical care or even telephone an ambulance to assist him. Too often people tend to overlook and ignore those important factors. This could have saved his life. If he refused then this is a different story.
Trauma to the head is to be taken seriously. Some people who ignored it have died, right here in Canada. A well-known US woman who was skiing in Canada fell and hurt her head. She thought that she would be OK and did not seek help. Soon after she died. This is a lesson.
I pray that God had mercy on his soul. May his soul rest in peace. Amen!
My heartfelt sympathy to his family.

      @ Reggie

I know you may be making a joke. People die when they are asleep and you know what, it sometimes occur early morning. Are you going to stay up all night? You cannot hide from God. When your time comes, it comes wherever you may be and whatever you are doing.
I have heard that some people die in church, if only a few or one or two. No kidding! This is the best place to die while worshipping the Lord.
      God bless!

I remembered this woman next door to me fell and hit her head on the railing. Had a nasty bump she shock it off.. Next day she was found dead on her bed.. It’s like after the head injury once their mind goes to its subconscious state (sleep) the knock must have done something and they die right there in their sleep.

      @ seasoning pepper

Why are you surprised? We tend to be surprised at everything that happens. Granted, for human beings, it is always shocking.
Being born and dying is a way of life and is to be expected at any time. People are dying every day. In fact, every second, if not less, throughout the world, day and night, people are in agony, are sick and are dying. Some through sudden death.
If you are a Christian Catholic or call yourself a Christian of another religion, pray for people in general, for the sick and for the dying. This is not contained solely to Dominica.
Here are a few short prayers which all Christians should pray daily or as much as we remember them throughout the day:

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven especially those who are most in need of Thy mercy.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, once in agony, have pity on the dying.

A prayer of humility for ourselves and for the proud and haughty:

Jesus meek and humble of heart make our hearts like unto Thine.

These are effective prayers. Please make note of them and inform others who do not know about them to pray them consistently. One of our Christian duty is also to help save souls.

A saintly person said, “Only in Heaven we will know what it is to save souls.” This is for those who are saved and will be saved. We have an obligation first to God, then to others and then for ourselves. In so doing, we will surely save our souls.
I will add, to help others to be happy and peaceful in this life and to lead them to God. The benefits are out of this world – Heaven.
      God bless!

If you know what is contained in Holy Scriptures, “Death comes like a thief in the night.” You should know what Our Lord stated about that.
