Police have confirmed the death of Isidore Nicholls 56, of Belles whose decomposing body was found on the 29th of December 2014 at one of his residences.
Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Superintendent Claude Weekes, said details are “not much” but the police are investigating the matter.
“He was pronounced dead on the 29th [December 2014] about five minutes past midnight but he was discovered about 7.55 pm on the 28th,” Weekes said.
“The body was somewhat decomposed. We are carrying out investigations into that report,” but “it is in the infancy stages of the investigation.”
A Belles resident told Dominica News Online (DNO) yesterday that Nicholls’ brother was the one who found him after not having seen him for some time.
They both reside together on their farm house some distance from the village.
Our source also revealed that there were visible blood marks on the floor and wall and the deceased was found wrapped in a sponge.
Man, some Dominicans need to patient when reading. They jump to their own little conclusions and BAM!, end up not comprehending what they just read. There are two (2) houses involved here, one in the village, one on the farm. The body was found in one of the residences, they both lived on the farm…Allu wanta to be detective and do police work, go join the force then….stuuuuuuupes garcon.
@Merina Mckenzie your comment sounds just like a comment one of the actors on criminal minds would make and you are right; smart thinking. I believe the killer could be someone close and it is strange that care was given to the body by wrapping it in a sponge I don’t want to say too much because even by our comments the defence lawyer can say that the public tampered with the case by the allegations made its like trying the case before it reaches court IF and when they charge someone for the said murder that is.
Lord bring this person who murdered my uncle!!!! to justice
Where was the brother during that time that it took days to find his brother’s decomposed body? If both of them worked together on the farm, did he not know the first day the brother did not show up on the farm? Police perform your investigation.
Crime of passion-body wrapped in sponge?
The murderer is not far.
The killer cared for victim at some time;
this explain the body wrapping.
Someone need to explain this to me. The paragraphs before the last states that they both live on their farm. How can your brother be in the early stages of decomposition and you do not know. The odor form a decomposed human being is very distinct and unless the house was sealed one would know that something is not right inside this house. The cops need to do some serious questioning and investigations and the truth is bound to surface. One can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all the people all of the time.
Admin: There are two separate houses. The farm house which is some way from the village and the “village” house where the body was found.
