Antiguan police report no evidence of gunshot involving attorney Wayne Marsh

Wayne Marsh

Antiguan officials have indicated that there’s no proof to back the allegations that attorney and political candidate Wayne Benjamin Marsh was targeted by gunfire in an area known as Liberta last Thursday night.

Marsh reportedly informed the authorities that he felt a bullet was aimed at him while there. Following his account, law enforcement initiated an investigation at the site.

Nonetheless, a high-ranking police official shared that their investigations revealed no signs of gunfire occurring in the vicinity during the time frame specified by Marsh.

Something is not right.I am asking myself what caliber of ammunition was used.most assault weapons used the 5.56 or 7.62 cal.theAR 15 can use 5.56.Most handguns use 9mm rounds of ammo. Most of those weapons are semi-automatic instead of bolt action, snipers rifle.Maybe the police searched the area and did not get a spent shell or did not see a bullet mark.If what Marsh say is a lie,why did he lie?

You must be stupid. If the man say the bullet hit the wall behind him . The first thing the popo will look for are bullet fragments at the claimed impact point . Not shell casings at god knows what distance from him . You go online and look for rats bullet calibres and come and talk sort . Don’t you kno 9mm can be lethal at over 200 meters and 5.56×45 nato can be lethal at well over 600 meters . You think cops stupid like you to go looking for shell casings at 200 or even 600m away when they can just look for bullet fragments at the point where he claims the bullet hit?
Only you can come up with that nonesense ant DNO will always post sort you does say

Which of your guidelines for commenting did my comments violate? You are a very biased publication. I watch you allow people to attack others. Once you published a regular referring to me as a dog but you constantly refuse to post my comments not because it violates any of your policies but simply because it doesn’t conform to your leaning.

Well, if what Mr Mash claim is deemed untrue by the police; they why wasn’t Mr mash taken for questioning for falsely claiming that he was targeted.?
Also, did the police found out the shooter and whether the gun is licensed.
We have too many reports with no substance

Attorney Marsh is a member of the main opposition party in Antigua. The Antigua Police Force operates at the behest of Comrade Browne (PM). What do you expect that politically compromised organisation and its figurehead to say?

What is most troubling throughout the Caribbean region is that most of the law enforcement entities are controlled by the incumbent governments. There is no separation nor independence. Dominica, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis are prime examples.

The lawyer’s reporting of this in this manner, and much worse, linking it to his candidacy for the St. Paul’s seat, struck me as being quite careless. All of this without even the slightest bit of proof. Due to my reservations, I declined to comment on the previous piece. You might be targeted as a lawyer for a variety of reasons, so don’t jump to that conclusion. You got off to a bad start, sir.
