Investigations have commenced into an allegation of robbery which occurred at the ACS 7-11 Supermarket in Pottersville on Sunday, November 4.

According to reports from Police PRO, Acting Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste, the incident occurred at about 9:00 pm.

He said it was reported that two individuals wearing masks, each armed with a firearm entered that business place and stole an unspecified amount of cash.

Jno Baptiste stated that during the incident one round was discharged.

Meanwhile, owner of the establishment, Julius Timothy told state-owned DBS Radio that the men made good their escape with a little over $3,000.

He said one individual was injured after he was hit on the head with the butt of a gun by one of the masked men after he was confronted.

“But it’s nothing major, just a little bruise and he is alright. Everybody else is alright,” Timothy said.

Investigations are ongoing.

the sad thing is when they are caught, some good lawyer always run to their defense and say that they are first time offenders, they have little children, they are the bread winner of their familes and all that non-sense talk. these people are killers and should be dealt with accordingly with the harshest measures.

That happen under the big tree at the entrance of Felix lane , two weeks ago. Two men in masks and carrying guns. It may be the same gentlemen doing that. Just threating people with fake guns. The authorities must rise up and do something before it escalates. They are around the Goodwill area. Catch them fast and put them in jail.

Normally I’m not the first one to defend the police, but they’ve added to their numbers lately and their presence in town seems more visible now than in years past. Moreover, the police cannot do it alone, the community must help, and you know that someone out there knows who these bandits are and isn’t saying.
