Barbados takes action to resolve the situation in Venezuela

US Ambassador Linda S. Taglialatela (r) with Barbados Foreign Minister Dr. Jerome Walcott

Barbados’ commitment to working towards the peaceful resolution of the situation in Venezuela and in maintaining a Zone of Peace in the Caribbean was reaffirmed by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley when she met separately with representatives of the Governments of the United States and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Prime Minister Mottley and Foreign Minister Walcott first met with the resident US Ambassador Her Excellency Ms. Linda S. Taglialatela, and subsequently with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, His Excellency Mr. Jorge Arreaza  and Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Raul Li Causi. The Venezuelan delegation traveled specially to Barbados for the meeting.

Mottley and her Foreign Minister meets Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister, His Excellency Mr. Jorge Arreaza  and Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Raul Li Causi.

During each meeting, Prime Minister Mottley emphasised that continued dialogue was essential to a peaceful resolution of the political situation in Venezuela. The Prime Minister underscored that the Caribbean region is a Zone of Peace and must remain so at all costs.

She also  highlighted that Barbados’ interaction with all countries is based on values and principles related to non-interference and non-intervention in the internal affairs of countries, respect for law and order the protection of democracy, and promotion of human rights.

Prime Minister Mottley, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Dr. Jerome Walcott and Attorney General Dale Marshall subsequently participated via video conference in the 7th Special Emergency Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community to review action taken by a contingent of Heads of Government at the United Nations in New York earlier this week and to consider developments since the New York meeting. Because of Barbados’ active engagement on the issue within CARICOM, Prime Minister Mottley has been invited to attend a meeting on Venezuela to be held in Uruguay next week to promote dialogue and a peaceful resolution in Venezuela.

They will all sit still and wait till Dominica end up same way. But who really cares? It is Dominicans that must ensure that their country sticks to the rule of law and talk out early against the injustices committed by those mere Men and Women in Leadership.
If the Venezuelan people weren’t too naive Venezuela wouldn’t have gotten to this poor state..they can sit there and blame all Tom Dick and Harry..Citizens everywhere must stand up and stop looking on outsiders to save them..don’t condone political misleadings because we all suffer in the end.

Poor them; more sweet sounding music to the ear of the talkers who are unable of maintaining discipline in their own  house! Where was the  Barbados Ambassador, Montely and when the problem began in Venezuela.

The oppression, brutality,  and victimization began years ago; they all sat back and watch the inhuman treatment of the people which existed under the late dictator Hugo Chavez ; and escalated under the now dictator Maduro? Now it is out of control they are sitting in circles talking crap!

While the corrupted dictators became billionaires off the blood of the nation, the actual people exists in poverty and hunger. How man refuges has Barbados took in from Venezuela, who are hunger, house and feed them? Some escape to Trinidad, where they treated like dogs, and deported back to the misery in Venezuela. Meanwhile Air Crafts arrived in Venezuela ready to transport gold out of the country!

If the peace they spoke off is to keep Maduro in power; they should simply shut up!

Anon boy, or girl I do not have anything derogatory to say about you on this one!

I boy; must let you know you have my every approval of your comments. These people are all hypocrites, this is simply a photo opportunity, making belief! The brutality, and oppression of the Venezuelan people has been taking place under the noses of the  very hypocrites who now play talking.

You do not allow a situation to get out of hand, and  now that Maduro is out to try and resolve the situation when they knew of the wickedness that went on for all these years.

This reminds me of Gaston Brown, Antigua imposed taxes on Ross Medical Students traveling to Dominica. That is one of the reasons Ross left Dominica.

When Gaston was sure they left Dominica, he said he was removing tax from Students traveling to Dominica, in order to cause Ross University Medical School to remain in Dominica.

By then Ross long in Barbados!

      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha!

      France, Canada,…

But where is LAZY Skerrit? Is he in Malaysia, Zimbabwe, Yemen, North Korea,Iran, Russia, etc? After getting so much from Venezuela, why is his lips so tightly sealed on the sufferings of the Venezuelan people brought about by bad leadership..Is it that his leadership is just as bad? I know on the regional scene he is a nobody amongst the other bright Prime Ministers, but in his typical incoherent, stuttering and stammering style, he should say something, even if is to his blind followers…
    Well done Motley
No wonder Ross,Ross,Ross ran away from Dominica and embraced Bdos.
Skerrit Venezuela needs US$100 000 000.00 from Dominica.Your LAZY MISLEADER,and stop the Lies!
Maduro should go.He has destroyed all institutions needed to return Venezuela to normalcy,he has jailed and teargassed his opponents, etc. Is Dominica the same?

Mia Motley for PM of Dominica viva motley. I tell you what i love this lady. Say what all you want she is brilliant and has just add to her stock. The big mouth that shouted in the town of possi that Dominica needs no opposition is nowhere to be seen. Probably somewhere begging telling some lies to see where he can get money for re-election. Action speaks louder than words.

After how Ms. Motley cleaverly took Ross University from Skerrit and Dominica I don’t know if I can trust her. You remember she said she wanted to try to resolve the Skerrit / Ross situation peacefully and is only after she realized the marriage could not be fixed she decided to take Ross? Boy that woman seems to be looking for all cracks in cracked and corrupt leadership like Skerrit and Madoro to see what is in it for her and her country.
