Police are investigating the discovery of the dead body of a man in Roseau on Saturday morning.
Police PRO, Inspector Pellam Jno Baptiste said the matter is being treated as a “suspected unlawful homicide.”
He said around 4:30 am on Saturday, May 27, Fabien George, 38, of Massacre, sustained a wound to his lower abdomen on River Bank in the capital in an area known as Washington.
James was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was examined and pronounced dead.
Police have also confirmed that they are investigating the death of 50-year-old Derrick James of New Town.
Jno Baptiste said at around 8:30 am on Wednesday the 24th of May, the lifeless body of James was discovered in his place of residence.
Family members told DNO that James’ body had several wounds including his eyes plucked out.

my son was airlifted to Martinique in the night some years ago although the helicopter landed before dark. The reason for that is because the doctors on the helicopter have to ensure that the patien is stablised before being taken up in the air. I was a poor malaway then. the government had no input in the helicopter coming for my son.

Washington block is situated in the middle of Roseau and you can pass there any day, and see young fellas smoking on the roadside. it seems police afraid of that corner. too many young men throwing their lives away. That corner needs some attention.
There is a level of frustration and hopelessness which pervades the island and these are the concomitant results. When people have nothing to hope for, every and anything goes. We need a complete turn around and we refuse to understand this and are stock in our partisan delusions.
