BUSINESS BYTE: Digicel supports International Women’s Day

Digicel Women's DayIn celebration of the amazing achievements of Dominica’s extraordinary women, Digicel is supporting International Women’s Day with a ‘Rock Your Purple’ campaign which encourages all to wear something purple in support of women.

As part of this celebration, Digicel has partnered with the Bureau of Gender Affairs to host a special ceremony at its Digicentre retail store starting at 12:00 noon today where three women will be presented with awards by the Bureau of Gender Affairs and Digicel in recognition of their extraordinary achievements.
In addition to the awards, they will receive three months of complimentary TV or Broadband Service from Digicel Play. Digicel customers will also be a part of the celebrations as they will receive a commemorative gift when they sign up for Digicel Mobile, TV or Broadband Internet service.

Digicel Dominica Country Manager, Richard Stanton, said; “This is a call to celebrate the achievements of our extraordinary women from all walks of life. Digicel is excited to be working closely with the Bureau of Gender Affairs to bring increased awareness of this special day to our customers and the wider public through our event.”
