BUSINESS BYTE: FDIC donates $7500.00 to School Feeding Program

On Thursday January 28,  Dominica’s only local insurance company, First Domestic made a donation to the Will Strathmore Stevens School feeding program in the amount of $7,500.00. 

Sales and Marketing Manager, Ms. Bertilia Bethel stated “First Domestic Insurance Company continues to make a firm commitment to its corporate social responsibility through our support to education, sports, culture among others and we take pride in doing so. Besides our annual ten (10) scholarships and yearly contributions to different aspects of education, it gives us greater pleasure at FDIC to know that we are helping feed a young one and that is the social responsibility that we are into, directly impacting the lives of our community, Dominica.

Principal of the Will Strathmore Stevens School, Mr. Alvin Abraham, expressed his sincere gratitude for this timely contribution and highlighted the achievements and progress of the students and school over the past years. he also used this opportunity to thank the overseas benefactors which normally send support the school in one way or the other.

    This is wonderful news for the school and children of Marigot, now the teachers can improve the program making sure all the children benefit from it. We are grateful and appreciate the donation from the Insurance Company. Thank you.
