BUSINESS BYTE: Whitchurch Tours closes off cruise season 2012/2013 on a thankful note

WhitchurchLast week Friday H.H.V. Whitchurch & Co. Ltd. Tours Department held their end of year meeting at Tia’s Bamboo with the Tour Guides, Dispatchers as well as invited guests, the Executive Committee of the Dominica Taxi Association.

At the close of every Cruise Season a synopsis is made based on the feedback from the involved persons to determine learnings and actions to be taken.  After conducting a flawless season, H.H.V. Whitchurch & Co. Ltd. chose to recognise the efforts made to reach this goal and presented Certificates of Appreciation to the Whitchurch Tours Team.

Whitchurch Tours would like to thank those who have enabled us to create and provide a pleasurable experience for Cruise Ship Passengers who choose Whitchurch Tours:  The Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry, particularly the Forestry Division/National Parks – Financial Officer Mr. Gifford Walsh and Park Superintendent Mr. David Williams.  Also, the Plant Protection & Quarantine Division; the Ministry of Tourism & Legal Affairs; the Ministry of Health, especially the Environmental Health Unit (Ms. Tassie Thomas); the Ministry of National Security, Immigration & Labour, particularly the Police Department Tourism Branch and Immigration & Customs;  the Ministry of Public Works, Energy & Ports; Dominica Air & Sea Ports Authority – Mr. Benoit Bardouille and Pilots; Customs & Excise Division; Dominica Taxi Association; Discover Dominica Authority (Quality Assurance Department).

    Have we forgotten that for over twenty years, Dominica enjoyed cruise ship arrival throughout the years,the tourism industry was vibrant.Buses were selling, vendors and tour guides were making money,farmers were selling,the banks were very liquid, hotels and restaurants were busy and the county was buzzing with economic activity.But alas in the past three years under this incompetent labour government we are celebrating the end of the tourist season in May. This is progress Dominica syle. We like it so
