BUSINESS BYTE: Hurricane Sandy FREE Family Minutes

LIME offers free ‘family minutes’ to call loved ones affected by Sandy.

LIME, the network that keeps the Caribbean connected, has extended a hand to its customers by giving away FREE talk time to those who wish to connect with loved ones affected by hurricane Sandy in the US.

In a swift response to the natural disaster, the company is offering its residential landline customers ‘15-family minutes’ free today (October 31) between 1pm to midnight.
During these twelve hours LIME customers across the region can use these ‘family minutes’ on one call or on several calls totaling fifteen minutes, when contacting relatives and friends in the US who are affected by the passage of Hurricane Sandy.

LIME’s General Manager Jeffrey Baptiste says that the Caribbean, including Dominica has a large diaspora base in the US and particularly the states affected by Sandy. “We are very happy to offer this special ‘connection moment’ to our customers which we feel will go a long way in helping them to cope with the terrifying effects of the storm”, he stated.

Known for its outstanding contribution to community development in the region, the company is always keen to assist and sympathizes with all those in countries that were affected by the passage of Sandy, particularly the US which suffered significantly.

So from 1pm to midnight on October 31st, but we only found out about it at 9:14pm which leaves 3 hours and 45 minutes to call, notwithstanding the fact that most persons would have already been in bed and missed seeing it on DNO.

Well LIME all you not nothing easy….thanks but no thank.

Admin: In all fairness to LIME, DNO was not the only medium used to promote it and the information was sent to DNO a few hours before it was published. The delay was due to a sight technical problem.
