The just ended Caribbean Energy Security Summit in Washington gave a commitment to support the Caribbean’s transformation of the energy systems.
In a joint statement the Summit pledged to pursue, among other things, comprehensive, planning-based and research-driven approaches to energy transition; the promotion and development of affordable no-or-lower carbon electricity generation through wind, solar, geothermal power, hydropower, bioenergy, ocean energy, energy recovery from waste, and other clean energies; and promotion of energy efficiency measures while also recognising that alternative fuels, such as natural gas, can play a useful bridging role.
The institutions and member states which participated in the 3-4 May Summit, hosted by the US Vice-President Joe Biden were: the Governments of Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Colombia, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States, together with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, Caribbean Development Bank, European Union, Inter-American Development Bank Group, International Renewable Energy Agency, Organization of American States, and the World Bank Group.

I do not know how Skerrit can refuse to give a contract to Dominicans to build a bridge which is simple to build, however, he gives a man who does not know anything about geothermal energy plant, and production a job to build a geothermal plant!
O.K. now here comes the talk about the Geothermal plant and when it will be operational. Who wants to bet that they will be announcing that we will have a working Geothermal plant by 2017 or 2018? And who wants to bet that this will be ANOTHER lie?
I guess in your mind this meeting was a lie and the geothermal equipment in laudat is not real. In your world reality is a lie and fantasy is true.
Wether you have real equipment or not, ask how long they have been there, and ask yourself, if there are no professional geothermal contractors, and engineers building the plant; if the whole thing is not just an act!!
It is a show to keep people like you believing it will become to reality.
George who Skerrit gave the job to build the plant has no knowledge of how Geothermal Energy Plants are built nor anything about geothermal energy production.
The man is a joke, you will live for the rest of your life, and never see the production of geothermal energy in the country, the whole thing is a lie!
The source is there only to be utilized, but under Skerrit, the only purpose it will serve, is for an election gimmick. By the time election comes around again, Skerrit is going to start talk about selling geothermal energy to Martinique.
