it has been said by some (mostly partisan coloured freaks) that nothing good has happened in Dominica since January 2000. I wonder what is this? Congrats to the developers. These are the “real movers and shakers”. Whilst others talk and make a lot of noises some none Dominicans are working real hard.

Great story DNO!! And timely too!! I read the original story and I checked the resort’s website, (an idea from a previous comment – thank you) and a few things caught my attention. They were, west coast (Rosalie), Atlantic Ocean and 28 room resort. These were some of the negative comments used to justify taking away the airport hotel from Marigot and to denigrate a “50 room” hotel.

The story also highlights the power of publicity/marketing. It is refreshing to see how the owners use all the natural assets of DA to market their product; the Boiling Lake, rivers, waterfalls, black sand beaches, the flora and fauna, including the turtles and shrimps and Trois Pitons National Park. Great job!! Kudos!!

I had lunch there for the Christmas and after a dip in the Atlantic – rinse off in the Rosalie River..then had some drinks at the bar………

Dominicans come home and defrost esp. those those in Boston (smile) and they are self powered (electricity – wind power)….hmmm

Mountainous adventure and dramatic photo ops await couples at Rosalie Bay. Set on the wild Atlantic coast of rugges, mostly undeveloped Dominica, this brand-new nature resort’s 28 guest rooms and suites have mountain, ocean, river, or garden views amid towering palms, coconut trees, and sea grapes.

    February 12, 2011

I am honored to be an employee of Rosalie Bay Resort; if there is abuse I do NOT know about it. But there are a few LAZY A… people who just see it as punching a card and getting paid, when they are assigned tasks they go hide in all bush there is…and they DO NOT want to be disciplined?

When they go overseas they cannot do that!! I am from GRAND FOND!!

      February 12, 2011

Good to see that an employee could defend the employers!! Good for you, whoever, you are. But when you see your coworkers doing wrong, you should try to correct them, there are so many people out there wanting to give a fair days work for pay.

Keep doing a good job, and I am sure that you will be rewarded and recognised!! :-D

    • Hmmmmm

I see so you got tired of hiding in the bushes with them, your co-workers now you talking!! Tell it to them, not on DNO it says that you are no different than dem that a hide pon de bush dem!!!

    February 12, 2011

I would really like to know what is being done to the employees there. Because i have done my investigations and I was told that they may be the highest paid hospitality employees on the island.

But some Dominicans are so NOT accustom of giving a fair days work for a fair days pay, that probably if the Employer/ Managers are trying to get their monies worth from the employees they see it as abuse. But when they go in the outside world, they see abuse as good life.

The persons in the area has BENEFITED from not only being employed at the Resort, but the farmers and fishermen too.

Well I guess the Labour Dept. should pay a visit….

      • Wesley Posse
        February 12, 2011

Well if Skerrit have something to do with that good for him. But why do we have to politicize every shit in D’ca these days. DAMN!!

DOMINICA is all of us own, even Skerrit, Frenchman or not!!

        • Ibn Gabrioli
          February 12, 2011

OMG, In my Dominica? Without a doubt, when you appear on CNN media house, it doesn’t bet better than that.

As for giving credit or not to Skerrit, politics aside, we must recognize policies that allow and promote investments of this kind in the country. And that’s the function of government. Nothing else.

But this is simply breathtaking beauty, in our Dominica. What a compliment to our natural ambience.

I am indeed pleased with the level of service I have received, from the employees at that Resort; from the hearty welcome I received from a young lady whom I later learned was the Assistant General Manager, to the great service at the restaurant and poolside bar.

I have already been there about five times, with friends!

CONGRATULATIONS!! KEEP UP the good work and keep striving for higher heights….

Well it is good to know that there are still some people out there, who can view our Dominica as a place of peace and tranquilly. And that what I think she really is!

If only more of us would look around and appreciate this glorious gift of beauty and enchantment that God has blessed us with! How easily we would erase the hustle and bustle–the fruit of the futile ways of man– that is taking place around us, from our minds, that this mind might become saturated by the ways of Love–the ways of God in us.

May good bless those who are responsible for sites, like Rosalie Bay Resort. May they continue to maintain patience, strength, courage, and hope; to believe that they can extend their good works; for the benifit of our Dominica, and for its good reputation of her people.

DNO thanks to you for another enchanting news article today.
