Digicel, Dominica’s Bigger, Better Network, recently announced its sponsorship of the 14th World Creole Music festival which takes place from October 29th to October 31st this year.
Digicel began festivities in the build-up to the music event on Friday September 17th with a live broadcast from its Digicentre store on the corner of Great Marlborough and Great George Street, where customers were treated to music from bands in the line-up at this year’s festival – such as Jah Cure; Luciano; Krosfyah, WCK and Midnight Groovers – as well as the chance to walk away with a host of great prizes including festival tickets and free credit.
Digicel Dominica Sales and Marketing Manager, Nathalie Walsh said: “Digicel is proud to be sponsoring the World Creole Music Festival for a sixth consecutive year. We are very excited about this year’s event and, with that, we are giving our customers a taste of what they can expect every Friday with a live broadcast from the Digicel store until the festival kicks off on October 29th.”
“Customers are invited to join us in store or listen live on Kairi FM and Q95 between 2pm and 3pm for the chance to win more prizes,” continued Walsh.
In addition, Digicel announced the winners of its ‘Back to School’ and ‘Cash Call’ promotions. During the month of August customers simply had to text the word “LAPTOP” to 7171 to be in with a chance of winning a brand new DELL laptop from Digicel with the lucky winner named as Orian Dorival of Louisville.
The first winner of Digicel’s ‘Cash Call’ promotion was announced to be Alexia Simon who walked away with EC$1,000 last Friday. The promotion continues until October 31st 2010 and is easy to enter. Digicel prepaid customers simply have to top up by EC$20 or more, or purchase a new handset. Postpaid customers must pay their bills on time and in full, or sign up for a new post paid account to be in with a chance to win.
The Digicel ‘Cash Call’ lucky winners will be announced every Friday on Kairi FM from 2:00pm and on DBS radio on Mondays from 10:30am until October 29th 2010 – with a total of $7,000 being given away in cash.
