ECSM certification program continues

The Fifteenth Eastern Caribbean Securities Market (ECSM) Certification Training Programme is scheduled to take place from 20th to 28th February 2012 at the ECCB Headquarters, Basseterre, St. Kitts.

The workshop is open to persons wishing to operate as investment advisors, principals or representatives of broker-dealer firms, as well as to members of the public wishing to learn about the principles and features of the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market.

Participants will obtain an understanding of the role and functions of the various ECSM institutions, and an overview of the legislation and rules governing the market.

The topics to be covered include the fundamentals of economic analysis and evaluating government securities; brokerage operations and customer account management; portfolio management and asset allocation. Participants will also be trained to use the system supporting the electronic trading platform of the ECSE, as they participate in simulated securities trading and settlement activities.
