Petroleum product prices to go down

pumpsEffective Monday, September 14, 2015, the Dominican public will enjoy a significant reduction in the price of all petroleum products, Director of Trade, Matthan Walter, has revealed.

The price for gasoline will go by $1.37 and there will be reductions for diesel, kerosene and LPG.

Walter said the reason for the reduction is the drop in gas prices on the world market.

He noted that the reduction will be welcomed by consumers on island.

“Effective Monday September 14th 2015 there will be a reduction across the board in the prices of all petroleum products meaning gasoline, kerosene and diesel and also LPG products,” he said. “For example for gasoline there will be a reduction by $1.37, for diesel by 70 cents and for kerosene by 71 cents.”

Walter continued, “This is simply because of the fact that over the last four weeks we have seen a reduction in the barrel price for oil from $48.88 cents to $43.04. So Dominicans are going to enjoy that decrease in those particular products.”

Reduction in LPG is as follows:

-20-pound cylinder by .30 cents
-27.4-pound cylinder by .40 cents
-30-pound cylinder by .43 cents
-100-pound cylinder by $1.46

Meantime Walter mentioned that Dominicans are going through a very difficult time now in more ways than one, “so any kind of relief that is being proffered must be very well welcomed.”

“We also know that fuel plays a very important part in the lives of all, for cooking, for transportation from one point to the next,” he said.

The smart thing to do would be to purchase large quantities at this lower price to buffer future price increases allowing for a more stable recovery. Basically the Petroleum buyers in Dominica should buy alot more fuel to reserve at that price. so they can keep selling the already bought fuel at the lower price even after the price has increased per barrel on the world market in the future.

So what about the price at the pumps, are u afraid to coat a price? Remember oil was selling for more than $100.00 a barrel at a certain time, so its less less than half now, what decrease are we going to get?

Not nearly good enough. If anything in Dominica needs deregulation and an end to price controls, this is it.

First, He was minister then retire automatically he is: Director of Trade, If so why defend the unequal distribution of goods from the hurricane relief?
Now with so much of the infrastruction disrupted( cooking gas etc apart can we drive anywhere? So this is obviously wrong timing. Ask Ivor Fontaine, Mc Marie Larzar etc all the economic geniusesor fools ur choice if this has any utility to be derived.
We are working in reverse hence well screwed as a nation.
I often wonder if we coming or going. Just look at UWP in 1995 election.Their theme song UWP is coming(was) they came and what it was a fast/quick political orgasm.DA was left unsatisfied can LL do better?in 2018? Eugenia et Al took advantage of the distress and lasted 15 yrs.Medard is already there will he are they using it? Looks so to me.
I have not seen any mention of Dr.Willy Athie etc whowere active in 79 OJ made an appearance.Willie Fevrier( John Fabian Pierro &Rosie are dead..so are Maynard Lestrade and many others.

PLEASE READ!! ” Director of Trade, Matthan Walter,” Matthew Walter was the minister, MATTHAN WALTER is the director of trade.

If the rest of your post made any sense I would not know because that first line just nullifies it.
