REDJet goes to Grenada

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada – The Barbados-based low budget airline REDjet will fly the Grenada skies from December, according to Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Peter David.

The local air transport license board has approved REDjet’s application which followed the all clear from the Antigua-based Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority (ECCAA).

“REDjet has applied and we have granted approval to them through the air transport board. It has given that approval to REDjet,” David told a news conference Tuesday.

Why is it that Dominicans always bringing down other Dominicans, publicly? We are not united, that’s why this country has such a stunted growth. All we do is blame this person and that person for things when we should be suggesting solutions, not pointing out mistakes that have already happens. “Look the milk fall wi, is your fault it fall you know, the glass was too close to the edge.” It fall already so just clean it up, get a next glass and move the F*ck on. Shit :-x

We are on the losing side here in Dominica.

We don’t travel because the airfare is too high, and we can’t get airlines like REDjet and others to land here because the benefits to the airline does not justify the costs of coming to Dominica.

    A lose – lose situation.

That would be because you all do not fly. That’s why. There is no money coming to Dominica because the locals do not travel. Not by plane anyway. Not enough of them for profit. Especially those that make politics everything, it shows that they have never experienced anythig else but the box they live in

The truth, I agree with you. Dominicans don’t travel and most of those who travel do so every five years when they get a free ticket to come and vote against progress. So you are dead right about it.

Another reason why REDJET or any international airline will not even consider Dominica at this time, is because they follow the politics, economy, and the people of any country before they decide to fly. When they read statements like the one made by prime minister Skerrit last week, who would want to come here? When a prime minister thinks he is above the rule of law and uses national media to prech violence against his own people, simply because they are fed up with the terrible example he has set for others, who would want to come to visit? When the PM of any country is threatening to rage war against his own people, doesn’t that say to anyone that the country is unsfe? Do we now understand why WYNAIR (a very small plane) had to leave Dominica? The political climate is very bad thanks to the nation’s PM who cannot work with what he has described as less than 25% opposition.

I swear I said the politics things killig progress, yet here we are dabbling in it again. Caribbean governments do not have superior control over our economy. Not in the smaller countries. It’s us, the people who must get our country to full potential.

J Henderson, If we were to conduct a survey to find out why Dominica is so poor and backward, we would not have to go very long to realize that it is because of stupid, blind and brainless people like you, and that we have had in abondance especially from the area of DA you are from. You all have fought against progress so much because of your stupidity. Even the cattle knows you are stupid.

As we speak, Ian Douglas is in Puerto Rico trying to woo Carnival cruise to return to Dominica, which we all know is almost impossibe. But here we have RedJet begging to fly all overthe caribbean with chip flights, and yet, Ian Douglas, Skeritt and Blackmoore cannot convince them to come to Dominica since according to them, we now have a good, safe, and improved airport. Is this not further proof that we just dumped millions of dollars on the airport and cannot convince anyone to come here? Not even Wynair they could convince to stay but yet we have a bunch of ….you know what I mean telling us that the Airport will help boose tourism in Dominica. According to the famous preacher, zor twor sort gason!
