After many years abroad pursuing an education in computer science, Oudin Samuel has returned to Dominica and is promising an easy-to-use platform for website building called, Caribonix, which the 28-year-old established in 2010.
Samuel explains that Caribonix is global service that provides a curated community of expert designers to help less-tech-savvy people create professional and mobile-friendly websites, blogs and online stores.
“The platform will enable businesses to quickly and easily create and manage new mobile-friendly websites at a significantly lower cost than going through a professional designer and with far less hassle than a traditional do-it-yourself “DIY” website builders,” he stated in a release. “Currently utilized by local businesses across the USA and in numerous Caribbean countries, Caribonix dramatically simplifies the process of building and managing hundreds of mobile-friendly websites. The platform provides an easy-to-use content management system (CMS) for a wide variety of applications across all industries including: entertainment, technology, hospitality, professional services, education and retail.”
“We realized that building websites can be very expensive and it’s often difficult to find a reliable and skilled website developer. It’s been hard for those who aren’t tech-savvy to create professional sites on their own using the free do-it-yourself (DIY) website builders that are out there,” Samuel said. “Caribonix is the real deal: we took the best in consumer CMS, added management features and brought together expert designers – all on a friendly, easy-to-use platform.”
He said businesses across the world are recognizing the advantages offered by Caribonix and the platform is used by non-profits, e-commerce online sellers and a wide variety of marketing agencies to deliver sites faster and at a lower cost to their clients and partners.
“A popular association representing journalists, media workers and media associations spanning the Caribbean basin is already using Caribonix to share, update content and accept membership payments online. Independent entrepreneurs and professionals are also using Caribonix for an edge on the competition: Trinidad & Tobago’s top makeup artist uses Caribonix to quickly showcase her latest work and promote her services,” the release said.
Benefits to using the platform include a curated community of expert designers, robust site creation and editing, easy, powerful content management and hassle-free hosting.
Caribonix is now available to Dominican business owners and offers site building service, scalable to organizations of all sizes. To find out more or get started building a mobile-friendly website, visit http://www.caribonix.com
Great job Cuz , Proud of our Riviere cyrique son of the soil.
this is great news! I wish you well in this endeavor!
MEDIOCRACY reigns large on this island, from the very top right to the sorry bottom.
Larger still is the negativity that reigns in your heart.
Good initiative, the solution is clearly not for some indiviuals while it may work for others. If such an initiative doesnt work for you just move on. Some reason we never do something but when someone else does suddenly we have a PHD in said task
I have used this guy services. He is very professional, and know his stuff. When you have a business, to build and manage a website is a whole other task. These guys do it. They are really good. And for the negative people like AAGabriel, if you have nothing positive to contribute to a Dominican returning home, who now wants to move back to his country and make a positive impact for his country, it would be better to stay quiet.
Congratulations to you Oudin, this is the dream I had, to see software, apps and web apps being sourced here in Dominica.
Returning as an entrepreneur, now that’s how we go to study!
I applaud the young man. Taking a WordPress backend, limit your theme sets and managing it how Wix.com does on the front end. Good business model once you find your niche market and manage it well. From one developer to the other: Kudos young man, may you succeed!
You are giving back to Dominica. Good Job
Good try! I can build a website via a drag-and-drop website builder for absolutely nothing and it is mobile friendly too. The only cost is the purchase of a domain address for as little as US$ 12 per annum. Another entrepreneur bites the dust. It takes a bit more than copying existing business ideas and then hope for the best. The most successful entrepreneurs have gone into market niches and had success. Playing copycat, which is a favourite Dominican thing, just does not cut it!
Hmm, that was kinda Harsh.. why don’t you try to come up with a concept yourself. Or some other business venture, please give the young man a chance and stop with your tasteless negativity. It’s people like you that kick down and trample seedlings when they start to grow. .
I so agree with you 305goon……….. everybody “copy” from someone and make improvements………. AAGabriel is a douche!
Just go to the website www. carbonix.com. Since the establishment of the business in 2010 they managed to do about 10 websites (see customers) and out of these at least 2 are not even working anymore. So I guess a very successful business. You all make me laugh…!
nice clap back…hehe…..AAGabriel did not see that coming..according to kevin hart…he/she was not ready……lol…
Different people have expertise in different areas. Many people who want a web presence don’t know what you and I do. A service like this can help them get where they want to go, particularly since it includes an expert on tap to answer questions. If you don’t need it, don’t sign up. Many do, and will.
While you say copycat I’m saying Alternative. It’s always good to have an alternative to something that may already exist….that way you create competition that forces existing ones to come up with new and innovative ideas to enhance their product. Your comment gives me the impression that you have already used his platform, have you actually? If not then don’t assume it’s the same as existing ones just because it may do things that existing platforms like this already do. Show some support for the young man…at least he is trying.
Why are u negative about another man Ideas. If you are so kool wid it then you would have done better. Its CALLED A START-UP and you have to start to BECOME. Its an idea to manage content and serve users pages ask me its a DAM* fine one. It don’t matter if its already being done its still HOW YOU DO IT that matters in code and on the web.
Google ..APPLE ..FACEBOOK have all taught us…ITS NOT WHAT is already being done but CAN YOU MAKE IT SO THAT A CAVE MAN CAN STILL DO IT WIth the same savvy as a real guy.
I think that was his design idea and it’s CLASSICLY good..lol..if that’s not a word they should serious consider this.
oh and by the way you A AN IDIOT..if you have to trash a guy design to sound intelligent..i don’t want to see wat you would do if you was actually that smart…Classicly DUMB..here is that word again for you..
